OK nobody with me here. Seems to be tapping out with 32 minutes left. More interested in his phone and how much is left.
 
OK he's obviously tapping out at 30 minutes with almost nothing eaten. I'm unpinning. Holy crap - at least three pounds of meat left. Serious double shame box.

3 minutes in. Eh, he's reading his phone and laughing. false alarm.

edit: he just added a quart of quaker state to his sirloin so maybe he has potential.
 
Haven't seen this technique before, he cuts a very large hunk of meat, forks it and then bites off pieces. He's also saturated the meat with juice for full moisturization.
 
OK, waaaay too much socializing.

edit: 12 minutes in and he has made pretty good progress but he's taking a full-fledged break it appears. Talking, texting, mopping his brow. But no eating.

edit: looks like they have queued up another place setting and just put another big boy on the grill

We have a second competitor bellying up! Both are big boys so one of these two has to succeed. A first for me and that staggered start time makes it interesting.
 
and now we've got a third place setting. Going to have a triple and they appear to be separate parties.

This first guy is toast 17 minutes in. He hasn't formally quit but he has no sense of urgency and is spending as much time talking to people as he is eating.
 
late to the party here. i assume lower left was the first guy? What was the order of arrival of the other two?
 
Contestant #1 has 30 minutes left but isn't even trying to eat anymore. Contestant #2 is 10 minutes in and you can't tell he's even cut into his steak yet. Let's see what contestant #3's got.

The guy in blue cuts his steak and then switches his fork to his right hand to eat. What is he from Westport? Worst technique I've ever seen. Wasted time and energy.

Black shirt making a late game push. Still has a chance. Blue shirt is kinda worthless. White shirt looking strong early.
 
All three of these guys went heavy on the Texas Tea. I'm not sure about the black lid. Does that keep the heat in or is it for cooling purposes.
 
You need to cut while you're chewing. Waiting until you swallow to cut the next piece wastes valuable time. It could be the equivalent of bent over with hands on the things in basketball. Running out of gas.

Blue shirt just took delivery of his fifth beverage. That's a death sentence.
