Let's hope that one of those will be UConn..... and there is hope.

If Houston, UCF, ECU and USF were legitimate teams and the parody from top to bottom in this league wasn't so big then the American would probably be the 4th or 5th best conference.

The AAC will barely get 2 in maybe 3 if UConn wins the conference tournament.

just trying to be optimistic, we all need to "upsell" this conference until we leave.

A few teams are going to be upset.

SMU, Tulsa, Temple, Cincy and UConn are all looking at going to the NCAAT.

If, for instance, only Tulsa makes it, there will be a lot crying going on.

So if half the conference was better, the entire conference would be better?

Thanks.

(It's parity.)
If you're out here correcting my word choice and spelling, then I'd like to point out that 4/10 teams is 40% of the conference, not half. 6 teams are very good, 4 are piss poor. Even if the 4 were mediocre, like RPI 100-150, I wouldn't be as desperate to get out. Actually, thats a lie. I want out of this conference badly.

The AAC tournament will actually be a good show with a lot on the line. I was mad at the time, but its a good thing for UCONN that Mudiay had to leave SMU.

Next year this league should be very good. Only a handful of seniors are leaving and most teams have done well recruiting wise.

East Carolina and Memphis need new coaches.

I don't see how this conference gets more than 3. 2 seems like the right number.

Ha, these cannot be serious posts are they?

We posts 2 brackets yesterday with 5 teams in. We have 3 teams in the top 35 of the RPI.

Saying 2 is all they will get is an absurd notion based on no factual support.

I don't think they'll get 4, but I do see how it could happen. Go 88-0 against the bottom 6 (though Tulane and Memphis may be tough to ace out that way).

There are 4-5 "good" teams in this league.

Memphis and Tulane are not abominable RPI-wise.

4 teams are terrible.

I'd say, mathematically, Fishy is sort of right here.

And, to be clear, aren't there 11 teams?
  1. Cincy
  2. UConn
  3. SMU
  4. Temple
  5. ECU
  6. Houston
  7. Memphis
  8. Tulsa
  9. Tulane
  10. UCF
  11. USF
(Not trying to call you out, but what does it tell us about the league that we don't even remember the number, let alone the name, of teams in this conference...and that I had to list them out to be sure)

There are some good teams in this league. Currently they just don't have well known names. Tulsa is a very good team that has good balance. We just need to give this conference a chance. In 5 years, UCONN/Tulsa or UCONN/SMU has a chance to be a good rivalry.

Tulsa has losses to Oral Roberts and some school called the SE Oklahoma State Savage Storm.

They are not D1...
