That will do it.

 You've been one of his biggest apologists since this season started, even going so far as to make a charity bet that the team makes the tourney this year. Please save your "I told you so's".

Ollie apologists? False. Take your trolling elsewhere. Side-note I do have to make that donation.

I backed him all season but watching this game, I say fire Ollie , the players ( transfers, early leavers, fans) can’t watch a coach that the players obviously have no respect for. Benedict earn your pay and bring UConn back to a reputable program. Now it’s only apologists who watch this embarrassement. I’m done and it’s so sad.

It's really a simple argument. Is the program better with:

A) KO + the current returnees and recruits, minus whoever transfers
B) New coach + all new players

We have some nice kids, but none are so irreplaceable that it's worth holding onto a losing coach.

And many of them are thought to be gone if Ollie stays. We may retain more players firing our coach than if we keep him.

He won a National Title. You don't fire a championship winning coach. Point blank. End of story.
You want him, you can have him!

Wasted talent is the same as no talent. We won't lose everyone if a solid replacement is available. The returnees on this team see the writing on the wall. They don't want to waste another year either.

One last valiant run to end it. Kind of a microcosm of the last 3 or 4 seasons (especially the last 2) as a whole, really.

I truly hope Uconn goes in another direction now and wonder how long it will take to set the gears in motion. How to keep the players between coaches, etc. if that is the direction they go.

Its gonna take me a while to speak his name without a bit of disdain. I appreciate what he's done but not what he did.

The "winnable" curse continues. Someone mentioned it in another thread and, without fail, Uconn loses.

STOP IT. Next year, that word should be banned.

Yup. Love KO, but the program comes first. Game is a true microcosm of how his teams play. Up and down intensity and too frequently digging out of holes or losing leads regardless of the opponent. That's aside from questionable Xs and Os.

There is no one on this roster or our incoming recruits that is not replaceable. The sad truth is, B) is the obvious long term answer but somehow may be the better answer next year as well.

Our team has no direction. The players need more demanded of them. Ollie should resign for the good of the program. He will get another job so he won't starve.

I won't be surprised if he's fired and I won't be heartbroken either. I do believe he should be given another year, hopefully sans the injuries

If I'm an Ollie apologists, so be it. I'm proud to be in the company of Bazz and Gilbert who have both said he's a good coach, and others like Boat and Purvis that have given him everything.

This team had no leader on the court, it's obviously not Larrier and not even Adams stepped into that roll. I think Gilbert may have been that guy, but we'll never know

He’s owed a lot of money. Not sure he’s going anywhere this year.

Also, seeing that the Big East teams that went to the ACC are not too successful since going, i doubt UCONN going there, which i don’t think will happen anyway, will change the program.

We’re stuck in the American. We need to find a way to win. Winning counts, and the vast majority of the teams in the American are beatable. We need a winner running the show. We don’t have that right now.

You have to twist yourself into a pretzel to come up with ANY basketball reasons why KO should be back next year
