That wasn't foul

You are correct, body to body contact isn't a callable foul on most plays. However, when you go through someones body to get to the ball it is a foul. That's why when 2 bigs are banging for post position they don't usually call a foul, but when the defender reaches over or around to get to the ball it's almost always called a foul.

That's what she did with Faris, she went through her to get to the ball.

Stupid is as stupid does.
Or posts!

We had seats right there and theres no question it was a foul. Not sure if I've ever heard louder boos on the refs after that no call. HforL is about to get the "ignore" button.

.-.
No I have better things to do than get other uconn fans pissed for no reason lol:)

That's good. Though I think you've been proven incorrect on this one, seeing as fans on both the women's board AND the men's board have indicated it was a foul, which it was. The most physical one there's been? No, but it was a foul, and it's called on every level.

Compare the uncalled foul by Hawkins against Kelly at :07.5 to the foul called on Breanna Stewart at 1:07 in the first half. I guess it does depend on the color of the jersey.

Why would I make a thread if I did not see the play?
To be an @ss. Because you are a troll. Because you are an idiot. To prove the point that no matter how stupid one's posts are on the internet, people will answer them.

Any of them would work.
I simply have nothing additional to add to meyers' reply. One of the admins needs to change his handle from "Huskyforlife" to "Moronforlife". To be honest, I'm embarrassed that he professes to be a UCONN fan. Hmm... I guess I did have something additional to add...

I guess you have to show a knife at a mugging to get whistled for a foul.

While the foul on Kelly was pretty obvious and caused the crowd to boo the refs, I though the fact the refs let the teams play favored UConn overall. UConn was all over the Maryland post players and could have easily fouled out a person or two. Maryland wanted a physical game, well, UConn gave them one.

Sorry someone pissed in your cereal. Geese calm down, its just my opinion, would love to hear why I'm wrong though.

Wow, what an awful thread. The lack of civility reminds me of some of the stuff that gets written at the bottom of ESPN tweets. Let's go watch Stanford or something.

Maj Forsberg was along the baseline staring straight at the foul on Hawkins against Faris, as we're both Eric Brewton and Vaszilly. Three blind mice.

.-.
Huskyforlife, you are clueless. You and the blind refs are the only ones who didn't think it was a foul. You're beyond needing glasses. Why don't you break out the football pads and helmet.

when Geno got the T, that was a body on body block. nothing wrong there.

It's a good thing the basketball IQ of Husky men's fans aren't scrutinized by the NCAA.
We would be looking at another year of penalties !

"Body on body blocks" fly in football and hockey, not in basketball against a player in the act of shooting. Not close or debatable... a clear foul. I'm shocked that after all the replays and commentary of the broadcast crews and 'yarders you can maintain such amazingly misplaced self-confidence in your position.

No need to malign them over this. Huskyforlife started another thread on this subject over there, and the view on the play was unanimous (except for husky himself): it was an obvious, easy foul call.

Tip off, when Huskyforlife does not know who Dee Kantner is......Case closed.....

Because you are blind and don't know the rules.
Does that qualify him/her to be a WCBB Referee?

Seriously though, I would like to hear the actual Referees ( as opposed to armchair referees) explanation of the "no call."

Anything that calls attention to the poor quality of refereeing in WCBB is a good thing, IMHO.

On a vaguely related note (fouling), there's this.

Not trying to troll / play devil's advocate - I just found it sort of hilarious; it's an involuntary "facepalm." :D
