Pretty sure he was talking about the people that say "next" (as in I don't care about this kid anymore because there's negative momentum and if he does commit no one will remember I said "next" anyway) not the people who give us actually information.
I'll say this much, don't pin this one on the conference as a few of you like to do, it's all about early playing time.
Bull s---.
The top recruiting schools stack recruits like cord wood.
If Mack chooses VCU, he's heading to a top-20 school that already has a top 50 recruit at his position.
Kevin Ollie doesn't keep losing recruiting battles to the likes of VCU or Florida State if he's not pushing this crap conference.
Agreed. I can think of at least five legitimate reasons why Mack won't choose UConn. Playing in the AAC is not one of them. UConn is a national brand and garners national exposure regardless of where it plays. If the conference is killing us so much in this recruitment, why is the kid going to play in the A-10? It may be moderately better than the AAC, but from the vantage point of a 17-year-old, I doubt there's much difference between playing St. Joe's, URI, and Dayton and Memphis, Cincinnati, and Temple.
....
Very well stated. I'll state the same thing in a different way.Agreed. I can think of at least five legitimate reasons why Mack won't choose UConn. Playing in the AAC is not one of them. UConn is a national brand and garners national exposure regardless of where it plays.
To me, recruiting at UConn has always been a bit frustrating to watch because it does seem like we miss out on a lot of kids we have no business missing on. But in the end(as we have learned) I strongly believe this plays to UConn's advantage. We attract a specific type of kid.....and over the long run, it works out masterfully. The weeding out process, by our choice or the recruit, isn't as fun.
Ha ha. This kid is going to suffer commitment remorse and eventually transfer out.LOL

#STTRecruiting: Source tells us now it is not likely that Tevin Mack will have a decision today. He's still sorting thru things.
Wow. Hope someone advises him not to sign that LOI@loubezjakfmn: "@sportstalksc: Tevin Mack now says look for a decision from him today."
somehow, the gents with the crystal ball know far more than mack himself. this is revolutionary!!!!SportsTalk @sportstalksc 1m9 minutes ago
#STTRecruiting: Source tells us now that Tevin Mack has decided to decide today, but that he is still undecided about the decision he made last night. He is leaning toward the decision he made this morning, but it's unclear whether that decision is final because this has yet to be decided, and it will not be decided until he decides to be undecided.

No need to delete. Lock, sure.
VCU fans already flogging him, lol. Hope he's right but after everything that has been whispered since he wrapped up visits I'm not putting any stock in it.
