Wow our lineup in a few years could be Alterique Gilbert, Jalen Adams, Terry Larrier, Mamadou Diarra, and Steven Enoch. Some crazy talent there.
Yeah if AG I will be jumping for joy and even if the rest of the guys are scrubs in the recruiting class we have an exciting team for 2016-17. Of course I don't want scrubs. LOL!!!!

OK now that we have all the sports cars in the Garage all we need is a Monster Truck parked under the basketball hoop!! Zach Brown Maybe!!

Hope he can be our gravedigger!!

Hell yea!! VJ King your next!
Between Hamilton potentially being back for 2016, addition of Larrier, and L'ville's heavy involvement with King, I highly doubt we have a shot anymore. Then again, KO has been on fire lately.

I live here in Louisville now and I'm hearing his name a lot on Louisville sports talk radio.

.-.
Given that he's coming here tomorrow, I would say that we would seem to have a shot.

If KO beats out pitino on this one,I'll know we're in good shape for years to come.

I was impressed with a lot of the kid's game in those videos, but I was most impressed with how easily he played in those games with the blue and red jerseys where it looked like all 10 guys were on the same team. Took some good focus.

Things looking brighter and brighter.

On a side note, some dude on a Syracuse board just claimed that Fishy was lucky because "he used to be a Syracuse fan, then switched to UConn, then UConn won 4 titles." I think STBill turning up in Syria to fight for ISIS would be more likely, and I'm wondering why such an unctuous insult has been hurled at our resident comedic virtuoso.

If King were a Louisville lock, why visit this weekend. UConn has a shot til King says otherwise.

He's not a lock per say but they are the favorite.

Either way favorite/ lock, point is another visit at this point tells me he hasn't decided on L'ville yet. Doesn't mean they aren't the favorite that wasn't my original point.

On a delusional scale of 1-10, VCU fans are at around a 20:

I almost spit my water out..."pl
Hamilton yes, Adams I think yes. No idea on Larrier or Enoch yet. Brimah is an interesting one. I think worse case, if he shows minimal progress the next 2 years, he still gets taken in 2nd round and jammed into D league or overseas and see if he develops. Few guys make the league that way, so who knows.

AO, Ajou, Daniels going this route.

Brimah has been listed on most NBA mock drafts as solid 1st rounder so i think he's NBA bound. He's still a work in progress but pretty sure NBA bound.

Tranny U ?!?

The news keeps reporting Gibbs and Miller as transfers. They need to stop doing that and embrace the Rainbow Coalition. We need more diversity in basketball so we've added Graduate students. What a concept

It's obvious that Fishy must be a sleeper agent who has been sent here to infiltrate the central core of the UConn fanbase, waiting for his time to strike! Come to think of it, how did the founders' of the Boneyard come to also run syracusefan.com? Fishy is the word that comes to mind.

I mean cto does sit at the kids table for Christmas dinner at his house and he wears an orange Santa suit I hear.

If so, we'd have to give them credit - one of the few successful missions for the Orange. They'd have to add a second carving on the Syracuse Mt. Rushmore - Fishy and Melo, leaving room for 2 more in the future.

I don't think he's knocked it out of the park yet. He's just led off the inning with a solid double.

If we get Gilbert or King - or Fisher, or Heron, or Jackson, or whichever high-ranked 2016 guy we've been recruiting for a while - then that makes the class a home run.
Not sure what baseball analogy I would insert here. All I do know is that if someone told me when the game ended with SMU at the Civic Center back in March that UConn's roster the next two years would look as good and athletic that it currently does by June 1, I would have thought he was crazy, or atleast had 6 beers too many. If this was a solid double, then at least Ollie cleared the bases, down 2, bottom of the 8th.

Grow up. Who was comparing him to Okafor and Towns.
Hey get off your high horse. I was just telling people who think he is a first round lock that he has a way to go before he is assured of that. He isn't even a great college center and people are already saying he is a definite first round pick. He is older than most people in his class and he didn't develop much last year. I will give him the benefit of the doubt though as head coming off surgery. Hopefully he works hard and makes himself a first round pick.

My view is you don't know what you are talking about. The kid's deficiencies are coming around ... slowly. But, his talent is apparent to anyone who has been around this game.

I wouldn't say luck... I'd say that his ability to identify players like that was one of Coach Calhoun's greatest strengths. He could see something in players that others overlooked and then bring out their full potential on the court.

Brimah is a great college player -defensively. His ability to protect the rim gives the Huskies a huge advantage on defense.

His offense is average but it has improved before our eyes for two years. He moves confidently on the offensive end, just not always effectively.

I see no reason why you insist on dragging the kid down.

Agreed 100%. The 2016 class is off to a solid start, but we've also managed to solve the more pressing roster issues for next year as well. Based on who was available, I'm not sure you could have handpicked two better fits for next year than Miller and Gibbs. What they do well is exactly what we need.

Four commitments in the last six weeks and in decent shape for others. It's been a heck of an offseason so far.

This is demonstrably false. Brimah's scoring rate went up 46% from his freshman to sophomore year and his foul rate went down by 36% while he maintained his block rate. Yeah, his rebounding stayed basically static, but every other part of his game got better.

Brimah is def not a great defensive center yet, hes a good shot blocker without question. You can't be in so much foul trouble and be a great defensive center. Also, he has yet to learn when to go for a block and when not to. He goes for every block and you see alot of weak side putbacks by his man. He has potential to be a great defensive player but hes not there yet.

Hopefully he can work on getting stronger and maybe attend a big man camp to work on many aspects of his game. His jumper is money, would love to see him use that more often if given the opportunity.

Well I'm not looking through my rose colored UCONN glasses like some people on the board. Does AB have talent? Sure he does. Was he better than what he was touted coming in? Sure. Is he a sure fire NBA prospect? No way if we watched the same AB that got benched for PN at the end of the year. He would get killed if he played in the NBA as he just doesn't have the strength or ability at this stage. I mean look at the 5 out of conference games last year against top competition(FL, Stanford, West Virginia, Texas, and Duke). He had a total of 20 points and 18 rebounds which is an average of 4 Points and 3.6 Rebounds.

Now with this said if he comes back a different player with strength and better idea of positioning both offensively and defensively due to a full off season I will be very happy. Just at this stage he is a decent college basketball player who is great at blocking shots but not much else. I mean a big reason for increase offensive efficiency is all the passes that DHAM lobbed to him. I like the guy but the verdict is still out if he can improve his game to get to the next level.

Brimah has gotten better but still raw and a work in progress. That is why he is not listed on NBA draft board. Message board usually over rate their players and think they are going to the NBA way before they are ready. Good example is Marcus Paige of UNC. They had him going after his soph. year. Now he is going to be a senior and he is listed as the last player drafted in the second round. I think AB, Purvis will be here in 2016-17. Unless Dan Hurley has a breakout year he will also be back. Dan Hurley showed last year he got along way to go before he is NBA ready. He does have a lot of potential but right now it is still potential.

Addition by subtraction!?

Damn right! But not as in that other thread...we add by subtracting them from NC State, Cornell, Seton Hall and VCU.
