How hard is it identify the post you were respnding to? I mean, I was supposed to be the self-centered jerk who mistakenly thought it was all about me. If I was so self-centered, please point me to what I missed. Otherwise, why not admit you are a liar, which I now pretty much know you are.

I must be whacky because a lot of people were fine with him being loyal and the previous presser, while I thought he came off horribly by saying he had little interest in knowing what happened. And now I find him contrite not because he's scared of losing his job, but because he spent 3 days at an abuse center talking with victims and specialists. I thought he was honest last night.

I know this Laurie Fine videotape is sensational, but the stuff coming out in the NYT about a 2007 rape case an also the 2005 Syracuse investigation may blow the roof off this thing whether or not the other alleged victims finally come forward.

As I wrote last week, the investigators in 2005 were hired by Cuse. You have to wonder what their job was. I suggested it was to limit Cuse's liabilities while also establishing plausible deniability. Well, law enforcement officials looking at the transcripts note that never once was an accuser asked for corroborating evidence. Also, there is no consideration in the report for informing the authorities. And then you have a retired faculty member making accusations about the athletic program's influence on disciplinary matters.

Boeheim is Penn State's best friend. Penn State protected and enabled a serial child predator for 2 decades, and Boeheim is stealing the headlines because of his freakshow assistant and his equally freakshow wife that behaved inappropriately with one kid, who then proceeded to have a relationship with both Fine's while the kid was an adult.

I think part of why the media is more focused on the Syracuse situation now is Boeheim, but I think part of it is that it is more salacious than scary. Laurie Fine is so bizarre as to become almost comic. Sandusky is simply a terrifying monster. People don't want to watch Sandusky.

I read about Sandusky every day at the top of ESPN news, and there are several articles this morning in the NYT on the case.

I never watch ESPN news or Sportscenter or anything like that so maybe that's why I don't sense that the PSU story has fallen off.

Then again, now that the sports aspect of the Sandusky story is over with Paterno being fired, that would explain why OTL isn't running stories while ESPN and the NYT are.

Remember, the Sandusky story broke in the newspapers two years ago and no one took notice. It was Paterno's involvement that did it.
