Do teams in the SEC really never watch tape on their conference mates? It takes an absolute IDIOT to look at TN games and not come to the conclusion that zone defense, even bad zone defense throws TN offense in a tail spin and leads to surprising losses, and man to man defense, unless you have really good athletes, allows TN to play their street ball offense of one player trying to get their own shot for ten seconds, passing to another player who tries for ten seconds passing to a third player who tries for ten seconds.
Of course the other possibility is the players haven't been taught how to play zone I suppose. 'Cause MS ST sure does look like they know how to play offense against one.
DD missed the last one, otherwise will be another OTWow how did TENN miss that last layup? Just incredible how they lose.
Cooper missed the last one, the layup.DD missed the last one, otherwise will be another OT
Yes, you are right...was Cooper, my apology to DD.No, that was Cooper.
And then Tennessee goes on a drought. 8 minutes without scoring a point and they scored 3 points in the 4th quarter. Sort of like SMU vs. UCONN...Strange
Utenn hitting shots.
Guards look good.
Started with the Freshman Cooper 2 games ago
Now Carter and Reynolds have caught the confidence.
Tenn was 19 per the AP but 23 per the coaches. the coaches poll included the loss to Kentucky but the AP did not. It would not surprise me to see both drop them only to 25... Altho I think with 8 losses, no matter what happens at Alabama, they should be out of the top 25. Couldn't be a more fun season! UCONN rolling and Tennessee reeling...Now I don't think they will put Tenn in top 25 ...LOL
Tenn had 3 points in the entire 4th quarter and 5 in overtime.
They are now 12-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference. That's 9th place in the SEC. And they are still ranked??
I turned it off, UTenn up by 10 or so and finally playing solid BB
Totally dumbfounded, even though I jokingly suggested the possibility above.
This has to be one of the worst losses in their storied history.
Some may exult,
But I really, really feel badly for the kids.
Something is terribly wrong.

They are losing to a LOT of higher ranked teams. They sure better not be after this week. (Or they'll keep them at 25 and say "Well, they lost to a higher ranked team") LOL
