Maybe this team needs time to gel and develop without Whitehorn but they better figure it out soon with the tougher opponents on the horizon. I looked at the schedule, and I can envision (or hope for) 9 losses for this team that heavily contradicts all this "sunshine and rainbow" fluff pieces you constantly post about the LV's being back.
Not hardly. Heck they are 5th or lower in the SEC behind:
1. SC
2. Texas
3. LSU
4. Oklahoma
Vying with Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, to at least get a one round bye for the SEC tournament.
The further losses I envision are UCLA, Kentucky, at Ole Miss, UConn, SC, Texas, LSU, Oklahoma with other concerning games of
Stanford, Louisville and Vanderbilt. That would be 18-9 before the SECT. They will probably be 9-2 when the SEC schedule starts and 14-2 when the heart of the SEC starts with Kentucky on Jan 22. That means they go 4-7 in their last 11 regular season games. Heaven help you if you lose Stanford, Louisville or both....
The reality is Tennessee is a marginal top 25 team who will have at least 8 losses this year as their skill is significantly below these 7:
SC, Texas, LSU, UConn, UCLA, Oklahoma and Kentucky. What say you my erstwhile LV stalwart
@stwainfan ? Can you show some even keeled assessment....
