I try to be somewhat charitable to Tenn, but this game makes it hard..... It makes me laugh when TV promos say "Tennessee, led by Meighan Simmons" but in this game so far she isn't the only dud, as has been pointed out..... it is the amazing lack of basketball fundamentals which continue to amaze me.... just about every time i watch them play..... of course ask a LV fan and they frequently explain it away with some reference to the tough transition from Summit to the new coaches..... and after a few years of disappointment with their team - yes, even I want them to uphold the standard of good play for WCBB - i have concluded that TN's problems are almost totally with the coaching staff. I hope for their sake that they show better down the road then they have this first half, but my confidence in this is very low

22-22 after Tenn first possession is a turnover. I suspect Tenn wins by 15-20, but the lack of fundamentals on this team is beyond silly. 2d possession Simmons rushed down and threw up a brick...stupid. SEC player of the year!

The word that defines this team is UNDISCIPLINED.

Tennessee will turn up the heat in the 2nd half - NW state is shorter, slower, less athletic, and with far less talent. Tennessee should win by 20+ going away. BUT it exposes just how average Tennessee is this year. USC could give them fits in the 2nd round, then a possible sweet 16 matchup with Maryland? Yikes!

I know we all (most of us anyway) like to pile it on Tennessee. It feels a bit like Christmas morning when they lose. But the days of being able to win SOLELY because you have more talent are over. Tennessee needs to find a coach who knows how to teach offense OTHER than "turn defense into offense, and turn offensive boards into made hoops".

And to give credit where credit is due, Harrison should be an AA next year.

They seem to have played like this for the past few tournaments. I doubt they'll beat either the #2 seed (West Virginia) or the #3 see Louisville in their bracket. They might even have a hard time beating the #4 seed Maryland.
