Can't get 'em all, but yeah this one was a pretty big miss.

Maybe if Matakevich had visited Shady Farms or wherever P and GDL lived at that time we could have got him.

Hard to get them when you don't even try.

You have to cut our old coaching staff some slack. The internet was a new gadget for them so watching videos seemed to be more of the dev1l's work than an informational resource to scout/recruit players.

In fairness to the coaches, we kept having problems getting all these guys from Milford admitted if I remember correctly. Any chance they had their reasons? It isn't easy to get some of these guys into UConn and that's been a big challenge.

Was just going to post it, too!
Except that it is not even analogous.

UConn Basketball won the 2004 National Championship (with Gomes' replacement recruit). Neither Edsall, nor Pasqualoni have achieved . in over 4 years. Pasqualoni lost his job and Edsall is about to.

Agreed. However it was all in good fun. I think we all know this was another symptom of the debacle we all lived through and are continuing to experience.

Milford Academy is barely a school at this point. It's more of a sports camp.

Well I'll give Edsall the benefit of the doubt since the kid went to Milford and so probably wasn't going to get admitted then. Plus, Edsall made his living finding kids like this and getting them into the program if he could. P, well, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.....

Oh good, another year of this. Can we write the 2015 story now, or should we wait a year? 125 programs passed on this kid. If he so wanted to play here, why not walk on rather than go to the 13th grade in NY?

Ending up at Temple may have been the best thing that ever happened to him. Can we all not just move on and wish him the best?

Yeah it is. It both cases we effed up. You want us to say it again? We effed up!
Yeah. One up was on a player. The other was on a "coach."
