Sanity beginning to return, but there will be much to talk about in the film room after this one.

Temple was physical and also very quick. They jumped a number of passes and, if they did foul, didn't get called for them.

Turnovers: 18 UConn, 19 Temple

Last Temple game was 10 for us, 20 for them.

The refs forced them to take wide open 3's because attempting to get a basket and a call inside does not occur. The fact they miss open 3's has nothing to do with it. They are human.
I meant on defense.

This is one of Gabby's best games and I'm not talking just points and rebounds. She's been really instrumental in UConn's pulling away with her aggressive defense and composure on both ends of the court. A great all around game from her.

I agree. I"ll be a little less concerned about next year if Gabby stays on this arc of improvement.

Okay, with presumably the final substitutions made with an 18 point lead at 2:40, the obvious question has to be asked: is Saniya hurt or what? The 2nd obvious question: how amazing has Gabby become?
okay: at 1:20 final substitutes, including Courtney....but no Saniya!

Peck is a complete genius. She just said that Geno told Moriah early in her career that "she had to go 100% all the time otherwise we won't know how good you can be." Geno said pretty much the opposite, telling Moriah she should NOT go full speed all the time, that she had to change speeds, change up the pace of her play. The dummy Peck makes it up as she goes along.

Not our best effort, but every team has an off game. This was ours. Perhaps in part attributed to 6 days off and the after-effects of the big South Carolina win. Practice should be a picnic tomorrow.

Saniya played in the fist half. Her IT Band syndrome would make it hard for her to move laterally and guard the quick Temple players.

Geno's pretty chipper in the postgame interview. He rightfully gives Temple credit, chuckles about Morgan's tough day.

Nice long post-game interview w/Geno:
"Gabby was phenomenal today"
"Someone is going to have to knock down outside shots"

Geno in the post-game says he'll treat the girls to cheese steaks. Geno knows Philly! I miss Pat's!

61 game win streak is the 4th longest men's or women's streak. So I guess it's the 3 UConn streaks and UCLA's?
