Betts set a single season record for blocks at UCLA. Previous record holder was Mo Billings. With quite a few games left potentially, she's gonna add to that a fair bit.

I think they have to win out to feel safe. It's a little late in the game to not have a single Q1 win (especially given that they play in the B1G).
We Minnesota. We ain't worried about a Q1 win or DQ1 win. Our expectations every year is, anything above 10 wins is a plus. So, winning 20 games or more, for women's basketball, oh we are on cloud 9! We ain't hanging banners, yet.

That is unbelievable to me. The bubble must be extremely soft. As a Washington fan, I'll be the first to say they don't deserve a bid.
The bids that the PAC 12 used to get had to go somewhere. Arizona and even Stanford are currently withing striking distance of getting a bid if a few teams ahead if them keep losing while they keep on winning.

I want to go into depth about why the bubble will probably be soft from now on but I do it another post later.

To former Pac 12 teams apparently. I hadn't thought of that, good point. Saw that during Bowl Season in football as well.

Michigan State gets an important win over Indiana to remain in the upper portion of the conference. Theyrn Hallock impressed me last season, but damn, the speed and instincts she has are insane.

UCLA squeaks out the win in Iowa City against the Hawkeyes. Seeing the loss as a moral victory may not sit well with fans, but I think it should be. Considering where they were earlier in the season, they're trending upward with respect to the level of play. This is a good sign with the conference tournament coming soon.

Elle Ladine hit 1000 career points today for Washington. Should also get to 500 for the season fairly easily (468 currently), last Husky to do that was Amber Melgoza 3 consecutive years during the dark days of the Jody Wynn era. Sayvia Sellers could get to 500 as well. Hasn't been a pair of Dawgs to hit that mark in the same season since Plum and Osahor.

I can't find the impactful transfer thread, but thought I'd make a note about Karoline Striplin and Indiana. Her move there has been a good fit and has helped Indiana get back on track. It's also nice to see her get consistent minutes compared to her time in Tennessee.

The potential seedings for some of these teams are wild. Michigan State and Indiana could be as low as 12, while Oregon and Michigan could be as low as 10. Maryland being as low as 8 is a surprise to me too.

Just goes to prove how wonky conference play has been this year. These last few games mean a lot to most of these teams.

I’m not fooling myself about Oregon’s likely tournament record. My goal as a fan is to get that 20 win season. A number 10 seed plays the 15 seed while a 9 seed gets a bye but then plays the 8 seed. So if the Ducks can’t get the unlikely road win @ Washington, a 10 seed in the Big 10 tourney may be the best path. Anything after that would be gravy In both the Big and NCAA tourneys. That’s my view anyway. I’m sure the team has loftier ambitions.

Stanford just lost to UVA by 20 in Charlottesville and has zero Q1 wins. Arizona has two combined Q1 and Q2 wins. Unless these teams start collecting Q1 wins, stick a fork in them.

On the surface, you definitely want to get into that top section so you can get a bye or two. Have a bye up until game 11 or 12 and then win those 2-3 games. I am cool with Minnesota being in that 9th or 10th range. Michigan, another team that I follow, being 6th-8th range.

Charlie Creme the bracketologist for ESPN in his last projection that was on Feb 21 had Arizona has one of the first four out and Stanford was in the next four out list. Stanford has lost since then and I don't expect to see them in his updated projections that will come out today.

Not sure how this relates to the BIG10 and their upcoming conference tournament. Posted here accidentally?
