Alex is marketable. He was paired with a coach he didn't get along with. Who knows? He may just flourish in a different setting.

Temple would be a food fit for him as well...not a great conference so he would be able to dominate (maybe)

Make this analysis easy:

If whoever gets Alex gets FF Alex from 2011, then it's an incredible get.
If whoever gets Alex gets 2012 Alex, then you pick up a potentially good role player.

In either case, Alex will have tremendous motivation to do well, as it will, at least in his mind, "prove" that it was JC who was the problem, not him.

I expect to see Alex be closer to FF Alex.

And I hope to see it too, because I'm not one of those bad-breaker-uppers like a lot of you, who will go stick a fork in somebody's head.

Whoever gets AO, is going to be seriously disappointed in how "soft" their interior becomes. Not a bad breaker upper, just a realist.

Yes. Because you understand defense better than all thnse coaches combined. Do even you think that is a reasonable conclusion?

You're not a realist, you're a brat.

Listen guy, we're talking about basketball here, not quantum physics. Box out, rebound with agression, and go up strong with the ball. It shouldn't be that tough for someone with AO's gifts.

And the only reason AO is getting attention is purely based around potential. He's a McD A-A with flashes of brilliance in TX, Maui, and last years FF. Id be pretty confident it's certainly not due to his exceptional play this year.

It's the same reason Kwami Brown was picked first in the NBA....POTENTIAL!! Why not take a flyer on a big man. If he shows up playing like Ms Oriahki (like he did this year) he'll have a warm spot on the bench waiting for him. If he plays to his potential, great gamble. It's a no lose situation.

So you do think you know more about how much AO can help a team next year than Roy Williams and Calipari. Good for you. I like a man with confidence.

Just recognize that to everyone who doesn't know you, it makes you sound foolish and egotistical to think you know better than a list of college coaches as to whether AO is likely to help them win or not. No matter how many times you repeat the things that you wanted AO to do that he didn't.

You're an idiot.

I bet you thought Curtis Kelly wasn't a D1 player or something equally stupid.

Situations mean a lot for athletes, especially young ones. Calhoun's style doesn't work on 100% of kids, it's pretty clear it got to Alex this season. That's fine because Calhoun's style has worked for our school as a whole.

Whoever is getting him, if they treat him with a drop of honey, unlike Calhoun, I wouldn't be surprised if they got the best out of him.

He flourished last year. Alex has proved he can play and aparrently some of the best teams in the country have contacted him. The best thing for Alex at this point would be to tranfer if we are out of the tourney next season. Best of luck to him.

Lmao,
I never said I know more than these perspective coaches, I'm just stating a very plausible reason why he is getting the attention, and it's due to potential brotha, how can you not see that?!?

We all know what AO is capable of, and we all saw what he provided this year...little to nothing. If this was AO's first year and that's all anyone had to base anything off of......he wouldnt be getting this attention. however that is not the case, hence his potential is worth a gamble

duck* em

Amen...he used up a scholarship and our facilities and was apart of a national championship team and now he's whoring himself out using that success and will get a sweet gig somewhere while everyone else will have to stick out a tough situation next year...

You couldn't be further from the truth. I always liked Curtis' game, he was physical down low and made sure his presence was felt. However he was a knucklehead, and pretty sloppy with the ball, especially on the offensive side, but he was still young and had time to grow and mature (which he did at KState, and became a great role player)

As for your second paragraph, quit coddling the guy... A bit of honey? Really? Lol......he's a grown man, who was in his third year of a program led by calhoun, not to mention our captain! If anything, AO needed someone like JC who calls'em like he sees'em and pushes him to his limit in an effort to have AO realize his full potential. Instead of stepping up to the plate, AO sadly sat in the dugout.

I wish AO the best of luck wherever he goes but he and all those that may point the finger at JC must know. Under JC he played games where he looked like a lottery pick and games where he looked like he should be playing d-2. the problem is not and never was JC the problem was and is AO. He may get a rude awakening when he goes somewhere and puts up the type of effort he did all this year and gets the same result. I dont expect him to be awful wherever he goes but he definitely isnt going to turn into a lottery pick over night like i think he and his dumb dad do.
