So I received this message from someone on an Indiana message board regarding Taya. Apparently not everyone's opinions of Taya's mesh with mine and I am ok with that.

"Same guy from the UConn message board huh? The information you are posting on that board is 1) incorrect and 2) influencing recruits and their parents away from UConn. You should really know and understand what college coaches and evaluators say about Taya and the player and person she is before you trash her to all the UConn fans on that board. And the 6'5 girl who you quoted as dominating the sectional game averages 8 pts/game and had 14 that night. Dominating. She didn't guard Taya and Taya didn't guard her. And she is a senior, not a freshman. She has also been suspended from her HS team twice this season. Also, Taya has gone head to head with Morgan Tuck several times and numerous other UConn recruits and has never been eaten alive. Know your information before you speak. Kids deal with different styles of play and jealousies in high school and you should know that. There are all kinds of circumstances that influence whether you win a sectional as a TEAM or not. Taya averaged 20 and 10 as a junior for a team that was 20-0 and #1 in 4A all season. But her team has a devastating loss and you want to post about it in the way that you did. Really appreciate the negative vibes for the Indiana girls and especially Taya on the UConn board from you. Not sure why that gives you such pleasure. If the UConn fan base knew you were posting wrong information on that board, do you think they would take you seriously next time? And if Geno knew that you were influencing recruits, do you think he would appreciate that? Makes you wonder..."
My reply:
"I don't think Geno cares about my opinion. I could be completely wrong on Taya fitting in at UConn. If parents are worried about a message board - that's their problem.
I voice my own opinion. I'm not always going to agree with everyone else. If Taya and her family feel that UConn is the place for her - best wishes. I am not a hater and I will pull for her 100 percent (no matter where she plays) and as I said on the Boneyard, I could be wrong and end up eating crow and if so, I'll be happy to do it. I always root for the local kid - unless their playing against UConn "
I don't think I've ever TRASHED an Indiana kid-but feel I have been much more pro-Indiana. Hopefully everyone will enjoy having their own opinion. I feel this board allows us all to express what we believe. Hopefully my posting has no bearing on Ms. Reimer's choice.
