It is kind of strange to run across a bench dedicated to Dee in Door County, WI. In case you're wondering, as I was, just where Door County is, it is a thin peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan including a small island off the tip. Think exclamation point! To the East is Lake Michigan and to the West a spur of the lake called Green Bay. The city of Green Bay is at the bottom of the bay and not in Door County. The name Door comes from old tales from when the inhabitants were Native Americans and French explorers that told how dangerous the strait between the peninsula and the island was for boats to cut through and was dubbed in French Porte des Mort - door of death.
Door County had a population of about 30,000, at least one of which is apparently a UConn fan
