Game 3 on the line right now... who do you want to move on to the next round?

Diana for sure but this is not looking good! Do they really have to get blown out?

its not looking good for Phx, but they have it down to 12 now

.-.
I'm rooting for Seattle. Swin, Sue and HH Jackson. it bothers me that Phx has no center (really), and play no real defense. Seattle's defense is so much more impressive. frankly i think it will be Atlanta vs. Seattle.

DT was totally outta control in the 1st half

it's been a melt down by DT though that started in first half. She lost her cool and let refs get to her.

Having a ref call a phantom foul on you means losing your cool?

She could have punched that ref in the face and it would've been defensible for that criminal call.

DT gotta do better... she was a ticking timebomb the whole game (maybe some carryover from the other games)

someone mentioned PenTay as a MVP... I sort of agree right now, she's doing good without DT

.-.
gotta love Bird, always have

Yup. Problem was the Storm needed someone else to make a shot. Jackson was just not herself and the others weren't able to step up. Did Katie Smith make a shot all night?

As for Diana, I've grown sick of her act. I can hardly believe I'm saying this but I've felt this way for a long time. She used to play the game with joy; she now plays angry and I don't enjoy watching her play anymore. The complaining to refs that goes on in the WNBA generally turns me off but Diana takes it to another level.

Having said that, the last foul on Diana was a joke.

Seattle shot 11-20 on FTs. Phoenix was 22-23. In a 2-point game, FT shooting was key.

There's the difference. As badly as Katie Smith and Swin Cash shot the ball, just shooting better at the line would have been the difference between winning and losing.

It was a painful game to watch on so many levels, but I did enjoy watching Penny Taylor and Sue Bird. Taylor grabbed 17 rebounds in addition to her 19 points. Bird played 37 minutes and scored 22 with zero turnovers. They both just play and come up big when their team needs them.

I don't know what word describes Lauren Jackson and the pain she had to have endured in that kind of physical game.

.-.
BTW, Sue Bird is the co-winner (with Ruth Riley) of the WNBA's 2011 Kim Perrot Sportsmanship award. This award is given to the player who exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship (ethical behavior, fair play and integrity) on the court. Sue and Riley both received 39 votes.

Kim Perrot played on two championship teams with the Houston Comets and died in 1999 after a seven-month battle with cancer.

Another well-deserved honor for Bird.
