“If UConn loses a game this year, something is wrong with the coaching staff,” Taurasi said Sunday after the conclusion of the mini-camp held at Nevada-Las Vegas’ Cox Pavilion practice facility.

on edit - that Taurasi

The future could include the three Huskies and all made an impression.
“Breanna Stewart was probably the best player in camp,” Taurasi said. “To see her live, to see all the things she’s can do, so athletic and so long … I was just blown away by her.
“Kaleena’s upside is huge. “You just can’t leave her open the way she shoots it. And then the other part of her game is that she is so strong. It’s hard to guard her.”
“Stefanie Dolson is going to be a professional for a long, long time,” Taurasi said. “There is no one that’s smarter than her.”

She is such a homer.

Doesn't she know there is a maturity problem with this team?

WOW...Stewie was the best player at camp? I know she's biased, but that's a pretty remarkable observation...

Think she was saying that regarding best in group... the collegians. Still, I am happy to have it the other way. ;)

My very thought, she's just 19!

What I read in the alleged quote is, "....Stewart was probably the best player in camp." Could I be wrong? Well, maybe, because I still don't know who is playing whom on First Night, or why. But, if I'm not wrong, Taurasi does not seem to be talking about ages or college players or any other "qualifiers""...... except the players "in camp."

I don't think it is possible to tell the context of her statement.

Gee and just think we have 2 more years of Breanna and KML. Not much you can say but WOW. They will be so dominate and so good.

Kaleena is also only 19. Her birthday is November 3.

We've seen Stewie "play up" with older groups in USA Basketball, but usually 1, 2, maybe 3 years. This weekend, she played up by 15 years. Yikes!
