I suspect we will only see them on the floor together later in the halves if they stay out of foul trouble. It would be an interesting wrinkle to throw at opposing defenses for 5 minutes here and there, but only if its safe to do so foul wise.

Let him heal and get Reibe more experience- those are win-wins. Reed just isn’t physically ready to play. The chances are real that he might injure himself again & perhaps more severely. Reibe at 100% is better than Reed at 50%. An injured Reed does not increase the chances to beat Florida. It just doesn’t make sense to me to have Reed risk further injury if he is not physically at 100%.

I think most people would love double bigs for smallish stretches and depending on the opponent. It wouldn't have really made sense with Sanogo and Clingan or Clingan and Samson because it would've clogged the middle. I like Reibe down low and want him there the majority of the time but he has stretch big skills and could work with Tarris if we want to go big. If it works it makes us an even more versatile team and eliminates a possible chink in the armor.

With all of the apprehension over what we may be able to accomplish in December without a full roster, all of the worrying about how it may impact our seeding in March, all of the whining, criticism to the point of slander, questioning of character, I can only draw one conclusion: quite a few members of our fanbase are soft.

I mean if you look at the BIG 3 in front of us. Az, Michigan, Duke, all have a bigger pair at 4 and 5. A Reibe at the 4 could be interesting or at least give some different match ups. That could neutralize those teams while they don't have the guards we have.

None of those teams have anything better than Demary+Ball+Mullins+Malachi

Exactly & with tribe growing confidence & comfortability he can stretch the floor still with his potential as a shooter

I believe Reed was held out to give him a chance to play this game with florida bigs in tow … like Arizona they’ll present a tough physical task for Reibe along Kansas was an exception bc they are bangers like Florida & zona bigs … so I believe he was preparing for this game for the past few years 2+ wks

Let me just say this: If he misses tomorrow and somehow we beat Florida and their talented bigs, without Bear, I am going to start wondering if he is our best option at center. Reibe is improving with every single game. Again, to be clear: I want him to play. I love Bear. But if we beat yet another ranked team without him, one must start to wonder.

I’m looking forward to tonight’s game. I’m not worried about who might play. I’m concerned with who will play. Every extra minute that Reibe gets out there ultimately will make this team a better team going forward.

Reed at 60-70% with just with his presence alone is better than no Reed at all. He has to play tonight We got to get these last two non conference wins cause then it could be cupcake city once the big east starts -as we all know it’s not as strong as it usually is. Not cupcake city - but u know what I mean. I know it’s nitpicking, but it’s really going to bother me if our only loss this year is to Arizona by four points without Reed and Mullins —that’ll be a shame. This team is good enough to run thru the big east - as of now Who cares if he starts in two weeks against DePaul? We need him now for the next 4 days. Then rest him for the next month. I know I’m talking a little bit crazy but seriously. Can u give us 12-15 mins tonight and Friday? Then he can rest till the nfl playoffs start for all I care. lol

Once Tarris is healthy he going to play around 28 minutes a game as long as he can avoid fouls. Reibe has earned more than 12 minutes. I doubt double bigs happens tonight though

No way is Karaban playing the 3. He is too slow footed to guard 3s. If we play with Reed and Reibe it will be limited to give Karaban some rest and give a new wrinkle. We definitely will not be playing this a lot as we do not want both to get into foul trouble at the same time which could happen. But it would be nice to see Reibe from the high post throwing a pass into Reed for a layup.

Have y ever had a serious ankle injury? If it’s weak, there is nothing you can do. It’s way more than just a pain tolerance issue

I like how we're normalizing the fact that we ought to go undefeated or close to it in conference play, so that when we don't we can have full-on meltdowns. Good planning.

IMO we will see Mullins at the 3, AK at the 4. Reibe can slide into the 4 with Reed at the 5 for a few minutes. Not sure either Stew or Ross are good at the 3, but we have to sub for Mullins and I think it could be Ross’s job to lose.

So my fab starting 5 (at some point this year) are Silas, Solo, Mullins, AK, and Reed. First 4 in are Reibe, Smith, Ross, Stew and thats our rotation without any foul issues. Next man up is Koroma, not sure where Furphy fits this year without major foul issues or an injury. Time, and a weaker schdule, will tell.
