From the ESPN ticker: "(1) UConn obliterates (2) Oregon State to reach title game" -- ouch :D

Syracuse has completely disrupted Washington so far. They've got the rest of this quarter to figure it out, IMO. If the lead continues to expand, they have no chance the rest of the game.

(edit) Unfortunately, Washington's problems in this look structural, related to the matchups. Which means it'll be very hard for them to figure it out. Washington by design plays a rather immobile zone, that is having trouble dealing with a team spreading the floor like Syracuse. At the other end, Washington is a turnover-prone team, playing against a turnover-generating team. Bad combinations all around.

Not understanding the Washington game plan here. Thought they would methodically break the press, then work the clock .

Had to turn it off. Tuesday night could be the largest point differential in the history of the NC game.

If I were UConn, I would be licking my chops to get a shot against Syracuse after they dodged us for Stewie's homecoming game.

Their 3 game could give us fits, but they typically don't shoot a high percentage. Put a body on them and limit their O boards off of long rebounds.

Syracuse's press is good, but UConn typically does a good job breaking by having two guards back. Certainly helps having a Lieberman award winner PG with a handle like Steph Curry to take the ball up.

Loved that pass by Osahor, threading the needle of the defense with a bounce pass on the fast break. Unfortunately the leading player wasn't up to the challenge of making the shot.

They are only 4 treys down... Washington could still win this. They should have Walton bring the ball up and stay in the man to man in the second half.

Syracuse has had 5 different players hit 3-pointers in just the first half.

We could do that too , until Lou got hurt. But yeah, Cuse sure jacks up those threes like there's no tomorrow.

How in the heck did Maryland lose to Washington. They are so limited talent wise.

Washington was hitting shots and they look tired to me as they just usually play 5 players most of the time.

The Syracuse press can wear teams down.

Well Washington wasn't worn down at the beginning of the game just cold as ice. Hard to overcome such an awful start.

Washington 4-8
Syracuse 3-7

Both of these teams shoot and make a lot of 3's. That's disconcerting, because it's the only way a team can beat us, and both of them are capable.

Huskies have enough players to defend Orange perimeter players. Besides since when do we have to worry about our defense ? How are they going to guard Huskies ?

Critical opening sequence in the second half. Osahor misses a 3 and then Peterson hits one. That was big. Difference between a 9-point or 15-point deficit.

This is embarrassingly bad basketball. It looks like a bad AAU game. Seriously, Washington has 2 legit D1 players on the floor.
