Respectable effort. Cuse is a solid P4 team. Would have been nice to beat at least one ACC team this season but it show's we're not quite there yet. We're getting closer but we're not there yet.

Let's beat UMass next week and get to 8-4 for our bowl game.

Disappointed because of all the missed opportunities, but happy with the effort.

GO HUSKIES!! BEAT UMASS!!
The D was good after they settled down. But the slow starts have to stop or they might lose next week too. The poor tackling early helped put the team in a hole & uconn got lucky with with the early offensive PI away from the play, negating their TD, & their missed field goal. Plus, uconn has to more consistently cash in on opportunities.

Some of our fan base acts like Syracuse is Ohio State (or even Georgia, who UMass played tough today). No question, UConn’s had a real nice season far. But I’m disappointed that they had an opportunity to get a big win at Syracuse & came out flat for some reason.

Game went a lot better than I thought it would. Glad we covered. We have a nice squad. Happy with our great progress

Hope this puts the "we need Rutgers" thought in a Bowl game to end

JF could have been better today. I wonder if he could be more accurate if he took a hair of velocity off.
Our play calling was odd at times.
A couple head scratching ref moments. No PI when our guy was mugged, that receiver for SU was clearly out. There was another biggie but I'm forgetting.
Regardless, SU was just a little better and deserved the W. McCord was the difference.
I do think that the take away is that we can compete against P4 teams. If we are in a conference and, thus are able to recruit a slightly better level of athlete and get jobbed less by the refs, we compete comfortably.

Rome wasn't built in a day. We're progressing, frustratingly slow sometimes, but definitely headed in the right direction.

I’m proud of this team. They didn’t lay down and quit after Cuse came out on fire. Cuse was just a little better, most noticeable in the QB position. I really think we’d be a middle of the road team in the ACC at this very moment. We almost beat Duke on the road, we should have beat Wake, and we held a damn good Cuse team to a close game. There’s a lot to be excited about. I’m not discouraged by this at all. GO HUSKIES!

Little things matter against P4 teams. Missed tackles and blown coverages on the first half by the D.
Fagnano with some missed throws on well drawn up plays where WR's were open. Then WR's dropping a few catchable balls.
I happy with the two new coordinators. If it true that UConn's NIL is going up again next year, then this coaching staff will get some P4 wins next season and will be separating from run of the mill G5 teams.

Had to work job two today so I’m in the fourth quarter rn of what clearly will be a loss. They had a quarterback today, UConn didn’t. Fagnano couldn’t hit a barn accurately today-even short passes-and maybe it’s my old eyes but I thought this was one of the best UConn o line performances I’ve seen against a bigger opponent in a long time. It was wasted today

McCord was insane in 1st half and their WRs caught everything. That said, IMHO, there's simply no way Evers would've produced that close of a game. Also annoyed at play calling on penultimate drive. Yeah, Robinson lost a yard on 3rd and 1, but on 4th and 2 from Cuse's 47, why go deep instead of trying to get the first?

DC needs to own that. You should never get beat long on an opening series. Give up mid field if you must , but stop the run and and long ball

I told my brother before the 1st snap that I'd take a shot right away if I were Canadian.

Nice job competing after looking completely outclassed early. Need a better QB and a better pass rush to win games like this. JF looked like an FCS QB today. Really disappointed in the lack of accuracy. Missed several would be touchdown passes.

On the plus side the tackling this season is light years ahead of previous seasons. Big ups to whomever is responsible for that.

Rankings wise this was the best team on our schedule and while for the first quarter it looked a lot like the Maryland game by the end they looked like they belonged.

Task now is not to backslide next season which has been the program's history.

Go beat UMass and for an 8 win season.

We are headed in the right direction. We need far better QB play (Welliver), more and better players in a few areas, more speed on defense and a bit more muscle on both lines of scrimmage.
This game was largely about QB play.,

I still think Fagnano was the right call. We lost by 7.

That was my predication that if he started, we would have a shot - and we did.

But I‘d wouldn’t be entirely honest if I didn’t say I was disappointed with his play. Mostly, he had the time, and consistently missed open receivers.

I am feeling anything after this game other than we had a GOOD season, no great, but good. I am accepting this and let’s move on to UMass.

Sorry to be a glass half empty guy but I was very disappointed with this loss. It would have been sweet to finish 8-4 and say we beat a P4 conference team. Especially cuse who I hate. 8-4 is nice but our schedule was a joke

We have a pretty solid team. We definitely need an A grade QB and some pass rushers, and better DBs. LBs, DL run, are pretty drab good. Oline is strong, RBs are strong, and receivers are decent.

Can’t complain about where we are. Just need to take the next half step to get over the hump to a mid- level P4 quality.

Yes, that sums it up. We did get hosed but can’t pin the loss of that - this goes w/ territory vs ACC. I never thought I’d be so appreciative of refs in the AAC - they seem to simply call the game. ACC, Buckle up for at least 3 head scratching calls or no- calls.

I give props to Syracuse. The QB and receiver play was next level - the receivers held onto the ball after taking some legal but vicious hits.

It is was a good win for them and if ever a loss wasn’t one to dwell on - this was one.

I like playing Syracuse - their fans can trash talk us all day long but that was a good football game against two teams that didn’t seem all that far apart. A perfect game for them really and for us some disappointment for today at least.

Took too long for JF to figure it out today. Think it wasn't until the 3rd quarter where Bell told him to take about 10 mph off the fastball and just hit his spots.. and then he fired 2 more to other receivers after that for drops. Then he finally settled down.

Cuse's receivers were very good and McCord was hitting all his spots. Said earlier in the week, the couple times I watched him, when he had time he just carved up secondaries. We were within a score or two all game, it seemed like we really abandoned the run.. then would run a stretch to the short side of the field and get bottled up and revert back to trying to throw it.

I'm good with this take. Didn't see the game. Forgot about it until 2... whoops. Other things going on

UConn offensive play calling should be under the microscope a bit.

4th and 2 and you heave up a moon ball 30 yards up field - that’s the play call??????

And when you are getting killed in Time of possession why all the passing in the 2nd half?

When you have a team like we have - good but not great - you simply can’t make mistakes like this an expect to win. The most frustrating part of it is this was under our control.

McCord throwing balls like Tom Brady. His receivers snatching balls down like they want to play on Sundays and we still had a shot…

I still can’t believe we did….. And the OC calling a rainbow pass on 4th and 2, was the worst play call I’ve seen in quite some time.

The ’Cuse fans can’t accept we played a good game - it was all UConn garbage talk.

I would have loved it if the OC has brought his A game today.

I've never watched a football game in my life but my take is that we were outclassed. They had a bunch of explosive plays. We missed a lot tackles. We had a bunch of three and outs. Their QB started 10-10. Our QB started by throwing a bunch of passes into the ground. When he stopped throwing into the ground he missed many open receivers. We hung on by our fingertips. It seemed like they were on the verge of blowing us out for 60 minutes. But we were a gritty bunch and never let them get out of sight.
