Syracuse game thread.

It was close for the first few minutes but it appears the rout is on. I predicted an approximate 32 or 34 point win, but at the pace we are at currently, it would be a 68 point win. Granted, I do NOT expect that to hold. I don't think we will outscore them by 17 each quarter. But... I thought if Syracuse came out with tremendous energy and were able to knock down some early 3's, it could be close for the first quarter.

That didn't happen for them - it was pretty much disastrous. 1-5 from beyond the arc and nothing else worked for them either, especially on defense. Gonna be a long night for the "Orange crush(ed)"...!

I said before, you don't have to tell Kia what time of year it is

I like Samuelson getting to shoot some free throws because that seems to really help her rhythm.

A stupid foul by Cuse. Lou on the line for 3. Which she makes.

Q is starting to shake his head until his brain rattles.

That was one of the most impressive quarters of basketball you will ever see. Hustle, fantastic ball movement, active defense. Wow!

They are dismantling a good basketball team and making them look like a bunch of high schoolers. How can you not enjoy watching basketball played at such a high level?
took the word right off my tongue, er, fingers. And the word is dismantling.

What could the Syracuse coach possibly be saying to his kids? "This is the Blitzkreig?

Saniya with six assists in first 13 minutes!

Anyone notice that beautiful use of the glass by Napheesa Collier on her most recent bucket (a turn around bank shot from about 5 feet)? She could teach any of the men's players how to do that... with our men, and many other. It is beautiful to watch. These ladies really are coached so well... and obviously work so hard at making themselves better. It really is a joy to watch them play.
