Duke is not beating Arkansas.
I hope you are right. Ideally St. Peters gets there, but realistically from the left side of the bracket, Purdue is the least objectionable team.

Duke just played one of the better halves of basketball weve seen in a while

I hate that program and want them to lose but I have to admit the last five minutes in particular were impressive. They just flat out took the game from Tech.

I would say vital

Jalen was more naturally talented but didn’t put it together in the same way vital did Imo.

But I can see the argument for both
Jalen had the capability tho make everyone better .
196 assists in 2016-17 is one of the greatest PG stats. When you consider the main scorers included 2 freshman that would not see PT on this team a defensive specialist at the 5 , Facey who wouldn’t see much PT in this team and Purvis playing out of position .
His Jr year was him and Vital after Gilbert plus 3 children, and NFL replacement players
His senior year he played the 2 in the Gilbert at PG experiment.that continued into the next year.

Yup. Like I said, I can see the argument for jalen.

I think him and CV are the only real candidates for that unless you wanna go back to the 80s

They did.
It wont happen tomorrow. I really think Arkansas can beat them .

Although, I will put the caveat that Im a bit wary that Arkansas may have their whole squad foul out by the first TV timeout. I could see K getting all the whistles he wants on his last go around. Arkansas plays really aggressive and fouled the ever loving jesus out of the Zags last night, with the refs letting them do it. If they get that kind of leash against Duke, they will win. You know that K is already squawking about that the day before the game. If the game is called extra tight (which it may be) , its gonna be a tough hill to climb for Arkansas.

Of course Arkansas can win, anybody left can beat anybody else, except probably St. Petes. But yeah, Duke is going to be harder to guard than Gonzaga was.

I want the winner of the Kansas - PC game to win it. I don't want to jinx it, but I think this KU team has the right makeup to win. Not as reliant on certain players. In any event I want the right side of the bracket to win.
I'm meeting a Providence friend who flew in today for the game. I haven't seen him in 20 years. We're going to a Providence fanfest at a bar ar 4 outside of the United Center and then I'm going to a different bar and watching the game with a couple Kansas friends who think this is their year. I'm going to he rooting for Providence...should be intersting.

I broke out my one remaining item of Jayhawk attire. Wasn't sure I would fit in it (barely). Traded Heady Toppers for it with a law school classmate some years back. The last time I watched a KU game with Kansas friends, it was in KC, and I was rooting for UConn. Didn't go well.

Rooting for Providence but would be okay with Kansas winning tonight and winning it all. KU and UCLA are the only blue bloods I don't seriously dislike.

I would ask if you’re meeting FriarJ but he has no friends on the internet :)

Jesus. That is the Kiss of death. What do you think happened to UConn in Buffalo, I had to skip Thursday, sold my Thursday tickets to another yarder, but was definitely going on my Saturday tix if UConn was "fortunate enough to win" .

I blame myself for that loss.

Dont do it Friar. Dont be me. You should already be in Chicago.

That would be a pretty good problem to have.

Speaking of which, you should probably make a reservation at Brigtsen's now. One less problem.

You will find me licking the concrete under a street walkers heels at Hunts point market, before you ever catch me rooting for Kansas.
The sheer uniqueness of this mental picture suggests you have experience at this.

Anyway, I'd assume that any produce touched by Bronx shoppers is already filthier than the sidewalk

no doubt. I was a week out of surgery peeing in a bottle in a reclining chair , so I wasn't in Hartford. Also missed Creighton game. So yeah I had no home losses this year on my watch. The only loss I saw in person was bigeast semis and that was my fault too. Because I skipped eating same steakhouse as night before the Seton Hall game.
