Sundays Games (+ thread?)

40-33 OSU, started 1-5 this half I think. They're gonna get a pair of losses in LA again this year I think.

edit--42-36; UW is not good, but OSU has let them back in the game

Minnesota is the third ranked team in the Big 10 upset by an unranked team today.

Illinois just broke its 29-game Big Ten losing streak with a huge win over Minnesota.

It's safe to say that #12 Minnesota won't be in the top 25 after losses to Michigan and Illinois.

Interesting to note that on Sunday in the ACC, 6 of the 7 road teams were victorious...and through the first week of play, road teams have won 9 games...and home teams have won 5. The only home winner on Sunday was Clemson, which claimed a 71-65 victory over Virginia.

UW closed to within 4, but OSU responded and up 58-45 at the end of 3.

Molina is ballin' for Washington St. and they are going toe to toe w/ Oregon so far, 13-11 about halfway thru Q1.

To be fair, all the stronger teams in the ACC were on the road today.

70-53 OSU. UW still can't shoot but they've got a bunch of O boards and some steals. Slocum has 26.

Ionescu and Cazora are #2 and #3 in career assists at UO and they will both pass #1 shortly. That's pretty amazing to have the 2 best playmakers in school history play 3 years together. If Ionescu comes back for her Sr. year she'll put that school record completely out of reach.

31-19 Ducks

A bunch more turnovers for OSU and some buckets for UW. 70-57. They've had a few minutes here and there of good play but overall this has been a terrible weekend for the Beavs.

78-67 OSU w/ a few seconds left. Really unimpressive performance. They're lucky UW can't shoot. Gave up 17 O board, 17 turnovers (14 steals for UW). As many made 3 point FG as 2 point FG. It's hard to imagine feeling worse after a pair of games they won. They better fix whatever is wrong real quick.

Slocum finished w/ 30, 17 for Pivec, only double digit scorers.

Melgoza had 20 but struggled shooting again.

This is crazy. Prior to Friday night Grigsby for UW had scored 26 all year. She scored 26 against Oregon and added 15 today. What the heck? Where has she been hiding? Her scoring average jumped from 2.4 to 4.3 after the Friday game and will go up some more today. Not many players can nearly double their scoring average in one game, nearly midway thru the season.

Carrington sinks a jumper. 83-78 15 seconds left, UCLA misses and Stanford rebounds.

I don't know what their deal was in OOC, but UCLA looks legit to me.
Can UCLA keep shooting like they did today? I'm used to them being a team of athletes who can't shoot.

Oregon up 49-29 at halftime. Much better energy level today than Friday. Hebard and Sabally have combined for 33 points. Ionescu on triple double watch again.

They had a chance to fold but battled back. It was more their scrappiness than shooting that kept them in it. O boards were big.

Very true. Shooting was what staked them to their early leads, though. 7/9 from 3-point range in the first half.

Yeah, that was definitely an anomaly that didn't hold up.

Cal and USC in a dog fight, Bears up 33-29 just before halftime.

Ionescu 2 assists away from tying school record.

Hebard just set a career high w/ 31 points, midway thru Q3. 15-19 FG. Only 1-6 FT, she should have more points.

Hebard and Sabally have combined for 52 points. Ionescu got triple double #15. She tied the school assist record, I think they want her to get 1 more to break the record before she sits. Early Q4. Ducks up big.
