Sundays Games (+ thread?)

Aari McDonald looks a little out of control today, trying to do too much. Just one of those games for Arizona, nothing is working, shots aren't falling. Apparently not every game is going to be close in the Pac 12 this year.

SC wins but continues to play with fire. Lucky to pull this one out, along with Purdue and A&M.
South Carolina will not make any real noise this year unless they get on a run in the NCAA's....that is doubtful. They will be young next year...but loaded with talent. If Dawn can rally this group to make a run then her coaching ability should be unquestioned. We will see....Baylor, ND Louisville and UCONN are the cream of the crop unless someone else can step up and prove themselves....Stanford and Miss St are very close....but the rest have something to prove. Just my opinion...for what it's worth....lol...

Chennedy Carter while is a good player

Her selfishness holds back A&M a lot and disrupts the entire team chemistry

12 turnovers between LSU and A&M in only 1 quarter :)

Virginia Tech and #14 Syracuse are locked in a battle, tied at end of 3Q.

Similar battle between Indiana and #15 Michigan State, Indiana up by 1 early in 4Q.

Utah has bounced back nicely from their buzzer-beater loss to ASU and from losing Daneesha Provo to an ACL injury. Laying the wood on Arizona 51-26 at the half.

Kianna Moore has done a really nice job stepping into the starting lineup today. 6-9 from the floor, 5-5 behind the arc for 17 points.

I was gonna post something about her. That might have been the biggest factor of all for Utah in this game. Great job by her.

Utah has 3 different freshmen who have been Pac-12 FOTW this year. Bodes well for their future.

Utah was up by almost 30, lead is down to 17 now. They've really cooled off in the 2nd half. McDonald has 29 points and 9 rebounds.

ND is up 28-17 over GA Tech with 4:37 left in the first half. This is a road game for ND. Arike is shooting 0-7 so far

GA Tech’s record is 11-3

Virginia Tech has not taken care of the ball in 4Q, coughing up multiple turnovers. Syracuse is up by 5 with just over 2 minutes to play.

The earlier post about Gylten's recruiting rankings made me curious about McDonald. ESPN had her ranked #55 in the '16 class. She had a nice freshman year, averaging 9.3 points on a Sr. dominated team w/ Plum and Osahor. This year she's either 2nd or 3rd in the nation in scoring at 24.8.

80-64 final Utah. Huff and Edwards both had double-doubles in points and rebounds, Gylten had double-double in points and assists.

McDonald fouled out in the closing seconds, finished w/ 34 points and 11 rebounds.

Jaelynn Penn hits a huge 3 to give Indiana a 3-point lead with 45 secs to play.

Michigan State might suffer its second straight road loss after beating Iowa at home.

Indiana up a deuce w/ 5 seconds left.

Whoa. Taylor Emery of VaTech with a driving layup ties the game up at 67. Syracuse with a timeout to set up the last play. Tiana Magakahia time again?

looks like it's going OT

Syracuse had a 5-point lead with 25 seconds to play but gave up a turnover, a 3-pointer and a layup to go to overtime.

Stanford-UCLA coming up. Anne Marie Anderson and Layshia Calerndon on the call.

Syracuse up 2 w/ 17 seconds left in OT.

Another player out for the year, Nadia Fingall from Stanford w/ an ACL. She left the court during the USC game, came back in, then went down again.

WVU up 5-0 over Texas early. Game is at WVU. I wonder if anyone jumped when the Mountaineer fires off his gun before the game. I know that used to crack up the UConn upperclassmen when the freshmen played there for the first time

Syracuse missed 2 FTs to give VaTech one last chance. Tayler Emery drove down the court and appeared to be fouled on the arm by Tiana Mangakahia as she went up to shoot. But no call. Syracuse wins in OT.

Emery and Mangakahia both finished with 27 points. Emery shot for a better percentage, though.
