OMG Part 2: WVU 24, TX 22 at Half TIme.

For all those on the BY unhappy with the play of the Huskies... in total or in part... take a look around NCAA WBB...

The Huskies are looking pretty darn good by comparison with some of the BB I've seen today.

LSU really needed this win. Kinda like Missouri's win over Tennessee. LSU's postseason prospects just got a lot better.
 
Happy we got out of here with a win, LSU needs wins like this. Home games are critically important.
 
Oregon St. muddling about a bit against Washington, leading 16-7 w/ about 3 minutes in Q1.

Colorado leading ASU by 1 nearing end of Q3.
 
Miss St up 19-5 on Kentucky even tho McCowan out with 2 fouls
 
Alanna Smith shook off a bad first half, has 13 points in Q3. Stanford up 7 w/ about 4 minutes left in Q3.
 
OSU leading UW 19-11 after Q1. Fairly sloppy game so far, neither team playing well.
 
Wow, Lexie Hull just entered the game for Stanford. She's been out since game 3. Both Hull's are on the floor right now.

In the TX-WV game, has there been any comment about the status of Kysre Gondrezick (transfer from Michigan to WV)? She played several games early in the season but not for a while now.
 
Stanford looked like they might run away with it, but then they went cold. 64-57 after 3 quarters. 26-12 advantage in Q3.
 
Simmons getting some run today for OSU in Tudor's absence. She looks fairly good. It's 32-18, but Beavs should be up by much more than that.
 
Arizona St. has taken control in Q4, up 11.

Anna Wilson is back too. She played against USC and again today. Got pulled today after a short stint with a turnover, unfortunately.

We've all noticed that Texas is down this year. But there's something wrong with West Virginia as well. They just aren't clicking, even though they have Tynice Martin back and some other good players.

Texas has gone on a run in the 2nd half and now leads by 13 early in 4Q.

OSU 38-26 at halftime. They should be up at least 20. They just don't look quite right. UW can't hit shots.

Thanks. I think I might get her confused w/ somebody else during her brief appearances. Glad to see Lexie back.



UCLA just wont go away. Scrappy team. 72-66 w/ 6:18 left.
 
ASU-Colorado tightened up. Devils up 3 under a minute left. They might be cardiac kids this year.
 
Arizona State appeared to be in total control, but then Colorado got a 3 and then a horrible turnover by ASU on the inbounds gave them a layup. Then the press yielded yet another turnover and led to free throws for the Buffs. Yikes. It's 70-68 ASU with less than a minute to play.
 
Slocum has 18 on 7-11 shooting and 4-7 behind the arc. Rest of the team isn't hitting open shots. Goodman is usually automatic behind the arc and she's 0-5.

In a nice run Simmons picked up 3 points 4 boards 3 assists. That some stat sheet stuffing.
 
Ekmark misses both free throws but Ibis comes down with the offensive board. She goes to the line and sinks both to give ASU a 4-point lead with 27 seconds to play.

Stanford has gone cold and is leaving the door open. 75-71 3:30 left.
 
28 for Carrington, 20 for Smith, 17 for Williams, not much for the rest of the team.


Dean has 20 for UCLA.
 
Williams just hit about a 28 footer. Burke draws a foul on the other end.
 
Illinois just went up 1 on Minnesota with about a minute left.
