Whoa, Anigwe just fouled out with 5 minutes left in the game. USC has crept back in contention, now down by 7.

WSU pulled within 38 points so they called a timeout w/ 22.9 seconds left. I really don't understand why coaches do that.

UW called a timeout down 11 w/ about 2 seconds left earlier today.

Cal probably gonna hang on but Mariya had 36 on 13-21 shooting and 7-13 3's. That's gotta be her best performance to date since transferring to USC.

Big 10 likely to be down to 2 or maybe only 1 ranked team after this weekend, as both Minnesota #12/13 and Michigan State #15/17 lost twice to un-ranked teams, while Iowa #19/20 barely got by Nebraska.

A couple other observations from being at the game: 1) Ionescu got her triple double with 8:39 left in the 4th; and 2) the flagrant committed by a WSU player on Sabally was just that. It was actually the first time I've seen Sabally confront another player (or even show that she's angry). Maybe it's a new SS, and, if so, more power to her, since she's been light's out the last two games. (25 pts., 7 rebounds, 3 steals and a block in this one, with even better numbers--slightly--on Friday.). On the negative side, Hebard, who is usually reliable at the free two line, was only 2 for 10 today. She should have scored 40 pts., not 34.

Iowa won't drop, they didn't lose a game.

On TV it just didn't look like much. Normal block out in my mind. The player was considerably shorter than Sabally and was crouched down, so made contact w/ Sabally that caused her to lose her balance. It just did not look even slightly flagrant to me.

You're probably right. Truth is Minn was ranked too high to begin with and it'll take more than 2 losses to 2 unranked teams to drop them out of the top 25. Next 2 games are @ Mich state and Iowa at home. The ranking for Minn should be sorted out by next weekend.

78-67 OSU w/ a few seconds left. Really unimpressive performance. They're lucky UW can't shoot. Gave up 17 O board, 17 turnovers (14 steals for UW). As many made 3 point FG as 2 point FG. It's hard to imagine feeling worse after a pair of games they won. They better fix whatever is wrong real quick.

nwhoopfan, You are harder on the Lady Beavs than I am! I don't agree that OSU's weekend was a bust. They won both games, and granted they didn't win by 20+, they won both games. Destiny Slocum was downright amazing today. OSU had defensive lapses today that let UW back in the game, and, a series of bad turnovers, but ultimately, OSU won. I'm more concerned with the @UCLA game next week, than the @USC Trojans game. I feel better that we have Destiny Slocum to break the press(ure) of the LA schools this year. Losing Kat Tudor (ACL) for the season hurts, but, OSU still has lots of firepower in the guard/wing area. Beavers are learning to deal with adversity with 3 players likely out for the entire season.

Arieal Scott, right? Frankly, she hasn't been that good so far this year. I think this was by far her best game to date, hitting three 3s down the stretch.
