Only half smart. I was taking a dig at those regulars on this board who use AEH's firing as a means to attack Geno. Had you been here since that fateful December you'd get it. I wish AEH nothing but the best; just don't want to have threads devoted to her here on the BY for the next 3 or 2 years.

Just waiting to see if either Kentucky or Georgia can get to 50 points. It’s 45-42 Kentucky with4 minutes left in the game

Oh I agree, I see where that can be extremely annoying. Sometimes things don't work out between players and that school. It happens.

Sometimes a fresh start can be good.


A. Howard has been a big liability for MSU lately. Foul machine and missing a lot of bunnies

McCowan is playing LAZY. Not even attempting to get involved offensively. Man she just disappears from games sometimes.

I never thought I would see the day that I was cheering for South Carolina, but they are playing like they want to win. McCowan hasn't done much to help her team. Kinda let down, that she isn't even trying to post up or do anything.
 
SC is on a 16-4 run since the last couple minutes of 1Q. McCowan just went to the bench with her 2nd foul.
 
Miami 6 of 7 from the field...NC State just 2 of 9. 13-4, Miami at the 1st quarter media timeout.

Disappointed by McCowan. I thought Vic had purged that from her system, but it has resurfaced in '19.
 
McCowan takes the biggest beating because how big she is. It reminds me when Shaq use to get fouled every time down the court and refs stop calling fouls. McCowan gets fouled more than any player in NCAA and gets 1/4 of the calls. That being said. SC is playing better than State.

I think sometimes McCowan doesn't know how to manage her emotions and she lets it get to her.

She gets hacked routinely because of her size and takes a beating but she lets it get to her too much and it in turn impacts her play in a bad way.

Oh really? You've watched every single player in the NCAA in order to make this assertion?

She isn't fouled anymore than Brown....they are the same size.

I've barely watched some snippets of the GA-KY game but it looks like a bona fide rock fight.

Kentucky up by 2 and has the ball. Will need to protect the ball and make some foul shots to seal this one.

Yeah... sadly.. they have alot of fans in the Triangle.... and its pretty easy to get to Cameron..... alot easier to get to Cameron than it is to Carmicheal (the cheater's arena). They always bring a few hundred fans..... most clad in that hideous shade of blue. :mad: Fortunately, they usually leave Durham pretty disappointed.
 
End of 1st quarter...NC State leads Miami, 17-15, finishing the quarter on a 13-4 run. DD Rogers with 8 points...already 3 more than her season average.

Kentucky hangs on to beat Georgia, 58-53.
That seals up a double bye for KY in the SECT.
It also means that MSU will be the #1 seed even if they lose to SC today.

I like how Espinoza-Hunter is playing for Miss St. Have to believe this UConn team would be better with her on it. I've been told that Anriel Howard may have come to UConn if Espinoza-Hunter had stayed.

Obviously if Hunter had stayed, Christyn would not have gotten the minutes she has this year.
