They gave up 11 3's, and committed 20 to's to NC. Nice win for the
Tar Heels.
 
The Irish just didn't look good today. Credit UNC for shooting the long ball well and pressuring the Irish. They reached in a bunch in the first quarter and got a bunch of steals, but Notre Dame threw the ball away on numerous possessions, creating their own turnover misery (as opposed to Tarheel steals). UNC didn't wilt when ND came back in the fourth quarter. Instead it was the Irish with the 2 unforced errors in the final minute of play.

I hope Jackie Young's injury only causes her to miss one game, because we really looked off today.
 
While it's nice to see other teams as vulnerable, I've been really hoping UConn could enter the tourney not at #1. Nice to be the hunter instead of the hunted for a change.
 
Jackie Young is the glue and most talented player on their roster. With her absense and all of the turnovers they deserved to lose. We have absolutely no bench whatsoever!

Final: NC State beats Georgia Tech, 68-60. NC State now 20-0, 7-0 ACC and off to their best ACC start in 30 years. Georgia Tech falls to 13-7, 3-4 ACC.

With Notre Dame's loss, NC State all alone in 1st place in the ACC.
 
Reminds me of the loss to Miami a few years back.

That game was when Reimer went home. So ND was also missing a starter unexpectedly then.

Adrienne Motley went for 32 that night. Kea for 30 today.

Shepard, Turner, and Mabrey shot 22-33 but combined for 15 turnovers. Arike had 5 assists vs. 2 turnovers but shot 5-21.

All things considered, I thought Nixon played quite well.

They were up the whole game.... 54-47 with about 2 minutes and 30 seconds left.... ended up losing 56-54. They didnt score the last 5 minutes of the game. Emery missed two go ahead jumpers with under 15 seconds to go. Baby Mabrey missed a 3 that would have won the game in the dying seconds.
 
Oregon St. finally getting on track a little bit, WSU continuing to be ice cold. 41-23 Beavs late Q3.


edited--5-0 run for Wazzu to close the quarter. Pivec has 17, I'm not liking the way the rest of the team is playing.
