Does anyone know if she can shoot the three ball? That would be impressive. If she was a Rebecca Lobo type.
I believe Geno has described her and an very athletic Rebecca. (like off the charts athletic)Does anyone know if she can shoot the three ball? That would be impressive. If she was a Rebecca Lobo type.
Yes, he did.I believe Geno has described her and an very athletic Rebecca. (like off the charts athletic)
I haven't seen Geno tell a good 3 point shooter not to shoot 3's.But how much will Geno let her shoot the three?

she was forced to take one against Rutgers, and it very nearly went in.I am waiting for Stef to take one step back and start hitting threes. She is very capable of doing that.
Yup, I remember that. That's why I want to see it more often. It will give other teams fits. Consider what it might mean against Baylor and Griner if Griner had to go that far out for Stef and the possibilities for back screening Griner to keep her off cutters.she was forced to take one against Rutgers, and it very nearly went in.
Why would you say that?I am waiting for Stef to take one step back and start hitting threes. She is very capable of doing that.
Because of the excellent % she shoots from one step inside the 3Pt line and having seen her shoot a couple in warm-ups.Why would you say that?
Charde shot over 40% from the arc in high school but took virtually none from there at UConn.I haven't seen Geno tell a good 3 point shooter not to shoot 3's.
But you've never seen her shoot an excellent % from behind the arc, in a game. Not saying she can't, but I don't believe you have any reason to believe she can....other than conjecture. Hopeful conjecture.Because of the excellent % she shoots from one step inside the 3Pt line and having seen her shoot a couple in warm-ups.

Not so much. Bria's shot clanked off the near side iron. Stef's was in and out- in other words, it barely missed.Hartley's last-second shot vs. St. John's (at Gampel) "nearly went in." It didn't count. They never do.
I wouldn't qualify Charde as a good shooter. High school 3-point shooting percentages don't translate quite as well as people might think.Charde shot over 40% from the arc in high school but took virtually none from there at UConn.
That's true of everyone who has never taken a particular shot in a game. The only evidence anyone has until that moment is performance in practice and near similar shots both of which are in Stef's favor. But you've never seen her shoot an excellent % from behind the arc, in a game. Not saying she can't, but I don't believe you have any reason to believe she can....other than conjecture. Hopeful conjecture.
