oh god its happening again to stony brook fml

.-.
That was heartbreaking. They were the better team for 39 minutes and 45 seconds, but couldn't hit their free throws or grab the rebound they needed.

Felt like watching us vs. Texas.

That shot reminded me of Rip Hamiltons shot to beat Washington in the NCAA

.-.
Another nut crusher for SB. Albany hits the game-winning three from downtown NYC.

This happens to Stony Brook every year. Every freaking year. Steve is a UConn guy, but his teams ALWAYS choke in a big spot. Every single time.

Massive choke. 4 trips to the conference final and still no NCAA berth, Pikiell seems cursed. Stony Brook should have had about 8 defensive rebounds in the last 2 minutes and couldn't secure a single one.

Big play - up 5 or 7 (I forget) with about 1:20 left, they break the press and push the ball down court, guy gets fouled on a layup, and bricks two free throws. All down hill after that.

Albany was 0 for 9 from 3 before that game-winner. Unreal how snakebit SB is.

.-.
Kids panicked and blew it. Missing passes, fouls shots did everything they could to hand it to Albany.

Gotta hit your free throws. Gotta grab rebounds. Gotta catch the inbounds pass when it hits you square in hands.

.-.
I'm in Albany and went to the game. Fantastic ending for Albany. Guys are right, it was SBU's game to win. Frankly, a lot of questionable calls, but SBU's misplay on the in bounds and the missed free throw put the outcome in
Albany's hands. Hooley, one of the Australian kids, is the one kid you want with the ball when the game is on the line. He had missed all his threes and Albany had not made any. But like Boat, you want the ball in his hands when there is only one shot.

Touching interview after the game, his mom recently passed, feel good for him hitting that shot.
