Speed is no good if you don't use it to exploit the defense. It's distinctly different watching omar act off a pass vs. Rodney. Omar makes a read and acts. If the defense is late he shoots, if the defense is closing too aggressively he puts the ball on the floor, if help comes he makes the extra pass. Omar is showing more proficiency in the KO system than purvis. The ball "sticks" on Rodney. He elevates into the close out and gets caught without a plan. He allows the defense to recover. Yes he's dangerous in the open floor and we need that, but his decision making is often alarming. What gifts Omar lacks in comparison, for my $, are more than offset by his iq. If Omar's J is alive, if prefer he get more minutes at Rodney's expense.
