Alex...don't expect much.

Samson...don't expect much.

Hassan...don't expect much.

Liam...hope he is on. He brings heart every game.

Solo...hope he is on. He is not automatic.

Tarris...also brings a lot of heart. Offers hope.

Rest of bench...ppthhtttt

It's time to not expect a run to a threepeat. UConn plays with house money. Never was going to win the Title ever year.

Rebuild and enjoy the process.

Hurley screwed up royally with roster construction. He thought a slight kid from St. Mary's who can't play point guard was going to be our starting point guard. He thought a spot up shooter (AK) was going to be our do everything leader. He thought Ross would show he's an NBA player. He never addressed not having guys who can take people off the dribble. He started the wrong center all season. We don't have the ballhandlers/creators and the team is physically weak outside of Reed.

I'm excited about our recruiting class but I'm not seeing the strength/athleticism in them. Braylon has the athleticism and quick twitch but he's pretty slight. Question marks with the other guys.

Coach needs to stop doing interviews/writing books and needs to figure this out. We were physically manhandled and Pitino ate his lunch. Pitino is just getting started there despite his age.

St. John's has an identity and they never go away from it. You can hang with them if they shoot terribly but this was a physical mismatch. We are a team with no identity this season.

Props to Pitino and St. John's, they're really friggin' good and a fun team to watch.

Complete annihilation. St John’s just dominated UConn, and if I’m being honest, it didn’t really look too difficult other than that 3-4 minute 2nd half stretch. Grown men against boys

18-9 (10-6) with 4 games to go. The margin for error is now gone

Bring back Nowell/Ball/Alex/Reed. Bring in a couple guard/wings with handles and size. Everyone else can come back and compete for minutes if they want, but there needs to be a talent upgrade this off season.

better, more athletic team won. Their team D was suffocating.

Pitino is one of the best x and o and game planners to ever do it.

I was impressed Hurley made adjustment to help D to take away iso and penetration to give more help D in paint early, knowing St. Johns cant shoot 3s. It was right move even if they got white hot.

I worry about team morale and where we go from here. Team seems to have some player regression going on, and this is a tough time of year. Lets see how we regroup.

This was a very hard game to watch. I haven't felt this crappy in a long time. But, it's the nature of being a fan. Especially a program that demands high level success and has achieved it. We'll get over it. Many BYers have already gotten over the last 2 rings.

Disappointing effort from the team. Can’t remember a Hurley team getting out worked this badly. Low effort combined with not taking care of the basketball is bound for failure.

Credit to St John’s though. They have a heck of a team this year. Pitino is an incredible coach.

7 turnovers in the first 7ish minutes of the game… Just not enough dynamic guard play on this team & they really lack the physicality to play with a team like that when St Johns is humming like they were today. Gotta lock in and avoid the landmines coming up on the schedule. We know big changes are coming in the offseason, staff sees it, they aren’t dumb. They whiffed on their evaluations. Really shows how hard it is to be consistently good, year in/year out.

Tight D but No X and O. They fought inside to make layups. And made 3’s uncharacteristically.

This is such a ridiculous overreaction. You can’t bat .1000 or even close to it in the portal. All the best coaches do interviews and it’s good for the program when he does. You’d think the last two seasons would calm people down my goodness. We have the best coaching staff in the country

St. John’s is miles better.

If we played them ten times, they would win eight. Nothing we can do.

We’re slow, not remotely athletic enough, weak in the middle and we play positionless basketball in that no one is good at any particular position.

SJU has three kids that would start at point for UConn right now.

St John’s is just clearly better than us, Pitino had us scouted out even the last 2 years, St John’s got better we got worse. St Johns is looking like 2023 SDSU possibly even better don’t buy this notion that they will go out of the tourney early sure anything is possible, I could absolutely see them take out Duke, maybe not Auburn but ya never know.
