If I had to guess, the time change is geared towards getting the students interested in going. Friday night drinking at the Rent followed by more drinking is much more appealing than waking up early on a Saturday morning for a scrimmage.

Not a fan of having to fight Friday Hartford traffic just to go to a Spring football exhibition. Saturday's are always much better. You got people on the move for the weekend plus the usual after work traffic and then add Husky fans trying to squeeze through the same outdated interchanges? Doesn't sound very appetizing to me.

I made out like a bandit last year. Got a really nice hoodie for 10 bucks and a tshirt for my fiancé that was like 5 bucks. Limited quantities and sizes but this deal is worth coming out for in its own right
