Nothing gets more comments than The Boneyard hoodie. It is a comment magnet. I got mine years ago but I only wear it a few times per year so it looks new. Older guys have all kinds of questions about the Yard, UConn and what my role in it is. For some reason they think it is something directly connected to the team and that I must be too. Waiting in line at Starbucks or Dunkin is always an adventure when I have it on. It has been to several major cities, Canada, Grand Turk and even Bolivia.

I wore a UConn hoodie into the Vatican and the Pope was like, "Niiiiicccce".
Weak.. should have gone with him saying "You know I'm a big fan of JC myself, although I think it's a different guy."

Currently in Dumaguete, Philippines sporting my gear as we visit my wife's family. We got married in the US a few weeks ago and now doing the Philippines one. Would not leave home without it. Actually saw a recent UConn graduate on the same plane here. We are everywhere!

This was from a trip to Cancun several years back - jersey hanging on the balcony.

Like some others have said, basically everywhere I travel, I wear UConn gear.

A week after UConn won #4 I wore UConn Tshirts/hat in Aruba and bumped into quite a few UConn fans over there - high fiving/etc.

How long ago was that? Looks like you're on the field. It was roped off in 2003.

I stepped over the ropes. It was soon after the 2011 championship, May or June. I wore this UConn football hat around Greece.
Below is Santorini. I meet a guy in Athens who played soccer for UConn, Dimitri something. I also got a "Go Huskies" from another guy on the street.

I wore another UConn shirt at a beach bar on the black beach in Santorini and the owner was a former UNC Tar Heel soccer player.

Good thread. Angkor Wat in Cambodia 2006 and London/Paris/Italy 2013 for my out-of-continent trips. I will have to dig up proof.

It's surreal. I was in Cambodia for 2 week as my wife has family in Phnom Penh. The Wats are immense, incredible structures that just pop out of the jungle. Walking between each temple we saw everything from a foot-long spider suspended in the air to a band of amputee musicians - handiwork of the khmer rouge land mines. Can't wait to visit again when my kids are a little older.

I now live in Vero Beach, Florida. I spend quite a bit of time in West Palm Beach where my girlfriend lives as well. I wear my Uconn gear proudly and people always seem to notice and shout something positive. Wear it proudly ya'll!

I lived in Key West 1980-1982. No one ever heard of UCONN (Yukon?) Huskies. They couldn't believe we were in the BE.
Always wondered if my coworkers finally said " Oh! He wasn't lying" when 1990 rolled around.

Lesson to younger BYers. We were off the map! I was talking to CBB fans. Things changed quickly.

Tommyboy said:
Pretoria, South Africa awhile back.

Hey, Tommyboy looks about 6'6", 240. That makes him the same size as SouthTampaBill but only .6 Lubins, nice try. Basically, all men are measured by Lubins. Personally, I am 1.5 Lubins.

Went to campus the other day actually and bought a couple nice Nike tee's for vacation……….will be sporting them proudly in Terrapin territory in OC, Md..

Also got a parking ticket for 30 bucks - parking outside Gampel not allowed anymore and I assumed it still was and didn't read the signs……….

Rock was working hard on his 12-15 foot banker from each side alone as it was empty otherwise, then Niels showed up as I was leaving to shoot around.

New here, been reading to resisting signing up for a while but finally figured i'd join the fun.

Anyways, not a vacation story. But i have an old Uconn Tshirt that i just cant let go with holes and paint stains on it. My wife got me a few new shirts but i cant let go of the old one. So i was working from home one day and tossed on my Uconn tshirt and some shorts and flip flops to run to the 7-11 (I'm from CT, but moved to VA about 7 years ago). So i get to the store and i'm walking around and this guy see's my shirt. Asks me if I'm from CT. I said yea. Asked me where exactly i was from in CT, I told him. Ask me my last name, i told him. Turns our he's my cousin ha ha. I knew he lived in my city and we had even talked once but never met face to face and I didnt know where i lived or vice versa. So now Uconn gear is responsible for reuniting long lost family members.

What places around the world have you worn UConn gear?
Year: 2013
Place: Village of Pyrgos, Island of Santorini, Greece
Comments from passerby?: Spanish Tourists: "UConn basketball!!"
Played a round of golf with 2 MSU grads and a starter who was a UF grad at a club in Clearwater FL day after we beat MSU and just before we played UF. My UCONN golf shirt grabbed a lot of attention
