Burrell left before halftime. She had to be helped off and couldn't walk on her right leg. She was grabbing her knee area. I'm not sure what's going on with Horston but she was injured in practice and is expected to return next game.

That's really sad - Burrell had a strong yer last year and looked poised to follow it up this year. Hope she can have a complete recovery.

The folks over on VolNation are understandably out of their minds with their team’s performance against a team they should have handled easily. Several concerns:

• Hard to see TN as the 15th ranked team in WBB
• Horston’s injury supposedly not too serious, but Burrell’s injury did not look good.
• Key in foul trouble all night, and didn’t do much against a team she towered over.
• I’ve never seen Thompson-Boling arena with fewer fans for a WBB game.

It could be a long season in Knoxville.

Bummer about Burrell. I’d thought she knocked knees with the defender. Doesn’t sound like that, though.

I thought the announcers said Horston had a minor (lower leg?) injury and was day-to-day.

Well actually, it's more like a UConn megafan ALWAYS makes a thread whenever Tennessee is struggling or losing against a lesser opponent. This is a bona fide Boneyard tradition that has has been entrenched at least since I joined the board 5 years ago. As it happens, a fair number of those games have ended in losses for the Vols.
