Mountain West media contract is a CBS/Fox mix.
so we're dropping the midmajor aspect of the conspiracy theory but sticking with the cbs aspect? dont we have games on cbssports too?MWC splits their games between CBS and Fox, their conf title game was on CBS Saturday

I agree that Georgetown and DePaul should be kicked to the curb, but disagree that urban markets matter anymore. That should give someone more credibility, not less.
All the narrow-minded simpletons that graduated B-school and went to work for McKinsey have ruined every business they touched. It is the business school choads who are leading college sports down this self-destructive path.
Both are important, but Georgetown and DePaul could both be replaced by better brands in their markets.
Name them. Both are important, but Georgetown and DePaul could both be replaced by better brands in their markets.
There may be better programs at this moment, but not better brands. Both are important, but Georgetown and DePaul could both be replaced by better brands in their markets.
DePaul has the same brand gravity as ColecoVision. Georgetown is better, but trending in the same direction. There may be better programs at this moment, but not better brands.

When you’re a fan of a certain team in a certain conference and are emotionally outraged at perceived, subjective injustices for said conference…. a biased alert should be ringing in your brain. Introspection is a wonderful thing.

Not even worth discussing. One step would be to get rid of the two "doormat" teams in the league. ( You know which ones).
Freeing up four games would allow the stronger teams to schedule against P5 teams to build up the resumes.
You really think the Chicago market is excited about Depaul when they get about a thousand a game in attendance? Not even worth discussing.
The Chicago and DC market is not what you throw out the window.
The league has to work with DePaul to make it stronger.
Beyond what the Cooley haters say, he will make Gtown respectable again.
Rather than throw out - work to make them better.
It would be best for UConn to get out of the NBE - asap - the program/school deserves deeper waters.
Whine? Its the KenPom #2 ranked league. Its insane this is a 3 bid league and short of legal action I just don't know what to do about it
We played on national over the air CBS way back in — February. Real CBS may have done one or two more MWC games than Big East games, but no more than that. Some of this conspiracy crap is really dumb.so we're dropping the midmajor aspect of the conspiracy theory but sticking with the cbs aspect? dont we have games on cbssports too?
guess we should try to split our next deal more evenly between fox and cbs. isnt cbs losing sec games? theyll need the extra inventory.
Also heard the flights to Dayton from NY area were over the NCAA alloted budget....one of the main factors in leaving out Hall & Johnnies.Every bubble team has issues, hence they're on the bubble. The selection committee, which has done the worst in bracket balancing in the history of the sport, left every bubble team from the second best conference out. Meanwhile selected every bubble team from the Mountain West and the best football conferences
Historically bad, not something to be proud of
And they determined brackets based on "mileage" LMFAO
this was the funniest thing i heard all day. if only the conferences themselves cared about mileage then maybe UCLA and USC wouldnt be about to joint the BIG20.And they determined brackets based on "mileage" LMFAO
You would be right. If it was 1994. They are today’s basketball version of the HUMMER. Big at one time but virtually extinct today. There may be better programs at this moment, but not better brands.
This the same thinking that caused the ACC to add BC to bring the Boston Market. DePaul draws 100s to its games. They mean nothing in the Chicago market. DC is such a varied market, B10, Ivy, ACC all heavily represented. Georgetown is less relevant than teams like Maryland and Virginia. If they were great, maybe they get traction. They aren’t great.Drop DC and Chicago TV markets.
