I don't think he was ever seriously considering staying at URI either. In that TV interview from yesterday he said something to the effect that, once he got past the emotion, he knew what he had to do.

Honestly, everything he has said about this job aligns perfectly with what @Matrim55 and @superjohn have been saying for a few months.

Indeed it did.

All in all, a pretty impressive press conference, but it fell sort of Edsall 2.0. Diaco's introduction was somewhat intoxicating (Took me 2 1/2 years to bail on that wagon), but Edsall's return was legendary. After all, he coined "AD...Dave." Will never be forgotten and may never be topped.

I'm on 247 looking at who URI offered for 2018 and there's only two kids from NJ and only one is a guard. Jalen Carey. And he's committed to Cuse. Rhode Island 2018 Basketball Offers
