Got in my DeLorean and went five years to the future to see how this plays out.

Well folks this is what happens.
1) We get Hurley.
2) He keeps the players and convinces Akinjo to commit to UConn.
3) First season gets to the NIT and make the semis. The Boneyard is going nuts. Chief changes from briefs to boxers. Blaze is out and PF Changs is in.
4) Second season we win a NC. Several posters make a statement and cut their toes off.
5) Season three UConn barely above a five hundred record. Lose first round NIT. Some Boneyard rumblings. Stainmaster argues most of good players entered NBA.
6) Season 4 losing record and no post season. Tenspro2002 says Hurley won with KO's players and wants to dump Dan Hurley. Stainmaster and Tenspro get into a heated debate.
7) Season 5 losing record and JMick leads a chorus of Boneyarders demanding to fire Dan Hurley as well as DB and all the Boneyarders that chose Dan Hurley over Howie. Superjohn rants after every bad play and after every loss. Sue Herbst and AD Dave are dismissed. Whaler is so ecstatic he falls into a rink and gets hit in the head with a hockey puck. He survives but comes back a nice fella. Chief sails into the sunset with Bunky. A thread is started with the heading "Some dude claims UConn is close to signing Oats".

If we could do it all again, with National Title and This Thread, I would.

Well football alumnus said we are at 3.5 meaning Pitt would have to be more than us... so $4 would make sense

Nah. It will be a bit of a bad look because he was the AD's #1 target, but at the end of the day it's not like he's a guarantee.

That's what's crazy. No idea if Hurley's "the guy". Looks good on paper, but who knows? Most of us just want a win.

If Hurley nixes Pitt because of concerns about uprooting the family I can't see him considering Louisville.

Mack is where they're looking. He's got the pedigree and recruiting grounds down. It would be a strange move for Louisville and Hurley.
