My younger brother's best friend is a manager on the NC State teams and apparently Paul McNeil is highly likely to be UConn bound. He had wanted to play for Hurley but there didn't seem to be enough minutes to go around. The Solo news yesterday was a back breaker, but it sounds like it helped in the McNeil sweepstakes. He's got three schools left, but UConn is top of the pack at the moment. Sounds like he plans on deciding by the end of the week.

Great shooter on high volume. Aside from the performance vs TX Southern, scored 26 vs UVA in the ACC quarters. ACC all-academic performer too. A little one-dimensional? Sure. But I would take a one-dimensional high-volume 43% 3pt shooter in a heartbeat!

Was under the impression though that he was deciding between UNC and Kentucky.

BIIG if true

Hope he's right, I'm surprised how many posters don't think we need to replace Solo's scoring/threat of scoring. This guy fills it up on the catch and shoot three on high volume and great shooting %.
We definitely need another shooter. I would like another penetrator but I guess we will get that by committee like last year.

I loved him on those 90s Yankees teams. Hard-nosed guy
Team player passing out water to his teammates also. I’m in.

If Hurley was having a hard time finding minutes for Ball, can Hurley find enough NIL and minutes for
Paul. Hurley desperately needs a decent 4/5.
Yeah backing up Mullins at the 2. People didn't think Ball wanted to be a backup so that was the issue with him.

Very weird. He was gonna play 25+ minutes and start, so it seemed obvious we'd bring someone in even if it was a bench guy. McNeil would be a lot of fun though, and still minutes for Junior County when/if he's ready

We desperately need another scorer. Right now we will be relying on 3 guys in Ross, Khamenia, and Hines to all double or potentially triple their per game averages. That is alot to ask imo.

Don’t we need a pg, or at least a combo?
Slim pickings left in portal, unless we're gonna find someone to give a half dozen Ben & Jerry's stores to Trimble.

I don't know much about the level of competition in the Big West, but Hasam Mousa from Cal Poly looks like a freak of a CG. 6'8*, 200lbs, averaged 20.7 ppg in 31 minutes. Shoots 37% from 3, gets 6+ rebs/game, does have a slightly negative A/TO ratio, so would probably be more SG than PG, but love the idea of that height
