So, who's got Chiney?

With multiple Bigs to throw at her, who ultimately will have to guard her on Monday? I would guess it would be Stef since she was so effective in their last matchup. But I have a feeling Geno's going to use this opportunity to give that big game test to Kiah. With a big line up like Stanford, the height would be needed. Ive always wanted to see a 3 Big lineup for the huskies and hard pressed to find a better trio than Stewart, Dolson and Stokes. One can only hope. It's that night I hope to finally see Kiah dominate the paint like the glimpses of it we have seen in her two years as a Husky, and shut down Chiney.

A challenge for Stewie and a challenge for Chiney if she takes on the chalenge of defending Stewie.

I think the early assignment of guarding Chiney goes to Stef....Stokes will rotate in to give Stef some rest or if Stef gets into foul trouble. Chiney is a very active and smart player on both ends , so whoever is on her may pick up fouls. The play of Stokes is going to be essential in this game.

Lets all hope she's up for the challenge, I think she will be.

Chiney is very active but she needs the ball and that means the guards need to get it to her. Guard pressure will be important out front and UCONN has the horses to play that game out front.

I am not worried about Chiney at all. Geno will press Stanford baseline to baseline and cause them to lose tempo and not find her in their sets causing them to rush shots and take bad shots.......THis will not be a very pretty game for the Cards........Geno and coaches will expose their weakness's early and often, plus the SO crownd will cause them to lose their poise and make too many turnovers...........Hge UCONN win on Veterns Day

I think Geno will use Morgan in the mix. She has the height and quickness to play Chiney.

But as said, the key will be pressure on Stanford's guards. Which we can do.

I think Geno does exactly what he did last year and we win big. Team defense and team offense. Shutting down Chiney will shut down the Cards and Chiney is imo the only Card in the deck we need to stop.

Uhh. Yeah. When Big Game Bria is the slowest of your four guards, and you also have Stewie who can do a tremendous amount of disrupting in the backcourt, you can put some pressure on. Lots of it.

I think a bigger question is who is Chiney going to guard? Stanford needs her in the game to even have any chance, so she won't be guarding Stewie, regardless of comments made she can guard all over the floor.

Not so sure about that. Didn't Geno put Stef on Chiney last year? Stef is nowhere near the athlete Chiney is, but Chiney plays mainly in the post and Stef is even more athletic this year. He might try to have Stef guard her straight up and see how that works out. Maybe a soft double team on occasion to keep her off balance.

I'm guessing Chiney will be the POY in WCBB this year. I don't think she is the best but she will probably average 25 and 12, which will be hard to vote against.
