Nan...I blame all this F talk on Monty Python...the grammar lesson on F is indeed hilarious. I would link it but I am skert I might get "modulated".
Go ahead. Just put a warning on it.

Don't need a college campus - go to any middle school. I watched one of my son's soccer games a couple years ago and sat near the cheerleaders. this and that all during the game.

Agreed in both cases. I swore like a sailor in casual conversation when I was in school, and in college--not out of the norm--but am much more *judicious* nowadays. Most kids just swear a lot. (Not so much Maya or Mo Jeff though, from what I can tell )

Another difference between Stef and Tina is that Tina did not have Stef's nice soft hands when catching the ball. It may be that strength holding on to the ball and soft hands receiving the ball are less than completely compatible.

That's a reasonable observation re: Stef's [good] hands. On the flip side, Stef's athleticism does not allow her to make herself a really big target, unlike Maya--an extreme case--or also Tina, in her latter years at least. For someone 6'0" tall, Maya was a humongous target. She turned many a potential turnover into not only a retained possession but also a bucket. Tina had good enough quickness and agility for her size that she could spring from her post position to snare entry passes that were close if not spot-on, and was also better at collecting low bounce passes than Stef.

Tina and Maya also were able to 'come back' to entry passes that were a little too soft, reducing the chances of the defender getting around front to tip it or steal it, like an NFL receiver smartly coming back to the ball to prevent interceptions. When Stef has leans her weight back into her defender, she is not able to shift her center of gravity and come back as quickly. She is taller and bigger than both Tina and obviously Maya, so this is not a knock on Stef's effort.

Someone made a very nifty entry pass into Stef last night on the right block, a crisp bounce pass that was well-executed and much less at risk of being picked off, the way it was angled. More of these as appropriate, please! I see way too many lazy/floating entry passes much of the time, and these are getting picked off periodically.

When a team goes after you like that it's tough to overcome.

Alot of times it's preplanned just to see what you can get away with.....and if the game is not called correctly, a miserable team could knock off a 100% better team.....
You can't stop it.....

If you drive in and get hit three times and a foul is not called, the opposition is going to do it and do it until they get called on the floor ...

I'm sure Geno toyed with the idea of getting a "No Show", technical and tell the referee's ..Hey let's play basketball and not Rugby!!

My favorite was...Go to the referee and tell him..."If he does that to me again..get ready to call a technical, cause I'm going to knock him back into the 5th row...." Whereas the referee say..."What did he do"...??..I retorted.."Just Watch".....And that was the end of the rough stuff ..(for awhile)....

PS over at TN used to tell them."If you want to play football, lets go outside" and then give the referee one of her big frowns!!!

But most of all, it's good in some respects...it's a learning experience, cause you don't want it to happen in a meaningful tournament...

Remember Miss Grinner...She threw a punch, and I'd hate to get hit by Dolson!!!!
