Probably around 60. A bit light. Thankfully, my kids had friends over. They left a mess (no shock), but we also forced them to take candy when they left. A solid half-dozen or more Reese's Pumpkins (smaller size to be fair) and Butterfingers may have accidentally found my belly.

Boneyard consensus: I think we're going to hide the unopened gummy stuff for next year. Gross, or okay? I would do the same with the chocolate, but I'm not sure that has the same staying power (freshness and out of my mouth).

Like every year zero. One of the many benefits if living in a rural area.

I have pledged to my wife that im going to dress as a clown next year and sit on a folding chair with a small light under it at our busiest intersection.

About 50-60. We got 3-4 inches of snow and windy in Chicago area yesterday. Normally we get around 150-200. We got the big bars from Costco this year. Kids really liked that so we'll do it again.

15.
North central Bristol, CT on the Burlington line. We used to get 80-ish a decade ago.... started dropping after that.... I'm sure weather didn't help last night.

To many to count at my son’s house we handed out candy he took the kids.
But his development has its own elementary school with a 1000 kids
There were a lot of tiny ones .
and as many adults. It’s a big deal here.

About 50. Which is interesting because I live in the Edgewood neighborhood of New Haven, which had previously been a pretty bad neighborhood but is now fairly stable/residential. Last year I got like 8, and the year before I got like 70. So I was glad to get a fair number this year.

I really like being able to contribute to the atmosphere of the neighborhood and make people feel connected, as it's definitely a little haves vs have-nots in New Haven so anything I can do to make people feel like we're all in it together makes me feel pretty alright.

Plus I don't want to be left alone with this much candy.

The least we ever had. Five. There were two reasons for this. First, in the area I live 70 would now be considered young. We are about the only people that give out candy, Second, when my wife turned on the porch light it blew out. She has had medical issues and was not able to change it, I left to see the grandkids so I couldn't change it. The five were after I got home and changed the bulb.

7 total. Two neighbors, two single kids and a pack of three.

The candles in the pumpkins kept blowing out. Every time I went to relight them it was another Almond Joy or 100 Grand. I definitely ate more than I gave out.

I live in the City of Atlanta in suburban looking neighborhood(Well houses closer together) and we got only a 3-4 kids. I didn't have any candy since last year we got none and I think 1 the year before. I wasn't thinking anyone was coming outside as the wind made the wind chill below freezing at times here. No rain at least.

Far fewer than normal - maybe 15 total.

The bad weather hit here right before the trick or treating hours - there really was no way to take a young kid out in the storm. We had trees being blown over - fortunately, there were some tweens hitting the neighborhood so I was not forced to eat all of the candy by myself.

We had our first taste of Snow in Ohio a bit halfway through (flurries but not expected). Closed up a bit after one hour. Normally we have over 100. Last night do to weather we had maybe 25. No one below 6 was out.

Zero...our driveway is the length of a football field.

Same. Mines dark too... it takes a real man to walk down our driveway at night.

If someone walks to our door we are always prepared.

About 20 all young children from the neighborhood. We often get roving packs of 7-8 kids that are like early high school age and they are funny but none this year. Of course i had overbought by about 3 bags but you don't want to runs short :)

I love Halloween in our small village on the Hudson. The kids all meet at the firehouse nearby and are escorted by the firetrucks that block off all other car traffic. It was windy but warm and we had about 150 kids come by in about 15 minutes. Nice thing about the parade system is that it goes by quick and there are no stragglers coming to your door all nite long.

New homeowner so it was our first Halloween. Our neighbors said to expect around 80, but with the weather we only had about 30. We've got a lot of leftover candy lol

A propos of nothing, @tcf15 , but I always think of the Bowie song "TVC 15" when I see your handle. I don't suppose there is any connection?

~200 & reportedly more tonight after some parents kept their kids away from Halloween’s rain drops. Hope so as we just cut open the last big bag and last night’s costumes weren’t so impressive compared with prior years. Tonight, lights out at 8 for the game.

We had three big groups and 3 or 4 stragglers, so about 25 or so. Brookfield-New Milford line. Slightly less than usual.
