SC lacks outside shooting so they rely on the inside game and for their guards to slash to the basket. I would think the best way to defeat them would be to pack it in and dare SC to try to beat you from the outside. Maybe play a zone or a box and 1 to harass Mitchell...

They gotta work on their offense. If UCONN shoots 50% and plays good defense it should be an easy win.

I'm not sure I agree the beatdown will be that bad but... I'm looking forward to this game for several reasons - mainly that IMHO one of 3 outcomes will result:

1. Very close game where UCONN wins by single digits - this will give the SC team and their fans lots of reasons to be hopeful they can beat UCONN in the NCAA's should the teams face each other (I think this is the least likely scenario)
2. Moderate UCONN win - somewhere between 15-20 - since the game is AT SC, I would think a won by UCONN on SC's home court would show that the teams are still somewhat far apart talent and execution wise, but it still won't stop the fans from being hopeful. I think this is the most likely outcome. Probably a 17 or 18 point UCONN win
   
3. Blow out UCONN win - by 25+ - this would be a huge statement and shut down any talk that SC is anywhere in the same stratosphere as UCONN. It would probably come about because SC collapses at some point - the game would likely be close for a while, but UCONN would wear them down and beat the tar out of them as SC gets confused and frustrated...

Some of you guys just need to accept the fact that regardless of ranking no team will play the same brand of dominating basketball that UCONN plays..

40-50 point blowouts are nice.. but seeing your team win a hard fought game is also satisfying. The sooner y'all accept that the sooner you'll be able to enjoy a fun game!

Fans of both teams will tell you it's due to great defense, but the reality is that a good part of it is bad offense. The game is called "basketball" which means you have to put the ball into the basket. Missing layups and easy jumpers is a poor way to play the game...

To build off what HoopsFan21 said, it's not the "same brand of dominating basketball" that UCONN fans are commenting on. It's the lack of offense that seems to be made up of more 1 on 1 play. I'm seeing aTm actually run more offense than SC is running...

ECU is giving USF all they can handle. It's a 2 point game at half time but USF is only 2-6 from beyond the arc and those 2 makes were by Williams in the last 3 minutes of the half. The American is not a great, or even good, conference, but it's not as bad as many seem to think. I think it will be a while before the bottom dwellers start to rise, if they ever do, but I'd imagine there will be 6 pr 7 teams eligible for the post season. Hopefully 3 get into the NCAA's and 3 or 4 make the NIT...
