Holy moley! just arrived in Hartford (my dad lives in Colchester) to snow! San Diego has NEVER seen snow, at least not in the 20 years i've been there. i was wearing my traveling flip flop type shoes - obviously not prepared for the wet snow lol... but at least i have a jacket!!

It's only a dusting, Eric. You must be out of practice.
Actually, it hasn't been a bad winter, at least in comparison to last winter.
Welcome back!

We had 4o inches earlier in the week (Jay Peak) hoping for another foot

I can't stress enough, eric, the value of anticipation.

Welcome to the Big East, Mister Flip Flops. :)

The forecast for San Diego on Sunday is sunny and 81. In Hartford, it will be calm and 70--indoors!

Enjoy, Dude!

Hopefully not too calm! Welcome Eric, enjoy you stay!

The flip flops make me laugh..... I was back in CT in January and I to traveled in my flip flops, but I lucked out and they had a week of "warm" weather in the 40's. I've been in Orange County, CA for almost 2 years, and it took me no time at all to adjust to the great weather, and making flip flops a "fashion staple". Stay warm and hurry home, we need as many husky fans as we can get in CA.

Not for nothing, but the weather this winter has been pretty darn pleasant.

That was, of course, until you arrived...

The middle and high school kids are all wearing t-shirts and shorts. My kids frequently go to the bus stop with just a hoodie for a jacket. This has been a ver balmy winter.

You know eric, there are such things as weather.com, and The Weather Channel, and even apps for your smart phone where one can see what the weather is going to be somewhere before you go there. ;)

I take it you were never a boy scout?

I saw kids last year doing that.

I wear shorts as long as I can too, but now that I'm old, the blood don't flow.

lol. well to be fair, they weren't exactly flip flops. they were rubber shoes that slip on and off easily and have slits in the side - but yeah, i wasn't expecting to walk thru the snow. the airport was so busy that my dad had to park outisde instead of in the parking garage. it was great to see the snow tho. was looking to start up a snowball fight!

Do you rock socks with your Crocs?

If things go according to plan, you will have one more in 2013--moi.

Somehow, the name MilfordSanDiego makes no sense. :D

Note for self: no flip flops when I travel to Hartford on Saturday :)

How cool is that!!! Looking forward to you joining the ranks of Husky fans in CA.

Hopefully we will be adding some more CA girls to the UConn roster and then maybe some home and away games withUSC or UCLA.

So come on out west....the weather is fine.
Have you picked an area to live.....I'm thinking it might be SanDiego based on the name??
San Diego is beautiful, but we have some great high school girls (who are potential UConn players) right here in Orange County.

Well, of course, we got all of winter early in October. Mother Nature tired herself out in October and has taken this long to recover. She is an old girl, after all. I know how she feels, sadly.

Hopefully, I'll be downtown San Diego.

My sister, her two grown daughters, and their families all live in or just outside S.D. My son and his family are in Irvine.

S.D. has sort of been my second home for years. Time to make it my first home.

Did she fall off a horse recently? :)

You shoulda come to Buffalo. We haven't seen snow in weeks.
It's my daughter's fault. She and her fiancee moved to upstate New York last summer and purchased a large snowblower to handle all that lake effect snow. Funny, the same thing happened to me. I bought a snowblower for the first time to handle the 90" we normally get where I live in Wisconsin, and used the dang thing for the first time earlier this week.

My friend finally broke down and bought a snowblower this year, too--at my suggestion!

I live in Tustin, right next to Irvine. Hopefully, we can connect when you are visiting your son, or when I come on down to SD. My daughter may move to SD in Sept and if she does I will move on down to SD also. So either way looks like we will have some places to make some connections.

I noticed that the SD womens team is slated to make the NCAA's [perCharlie Creme], and my rental agent is dating a man who lives in SD and is a big SD womens fan, so we often talk the SDwomen.

Big year for you......first the Olympics then CA......you globe trotter.

As did I after my leg surgery meant it was much harder to shovel snow. How long do the warrantees extend on these fantastic machines!?
