Gilbert no showed most of the night but Gaffney was playing well so it didn't matter much, and then Gilbert hit two huge threes down the stretch. No issues with him last night overall.
Gaffney was ok, hit a couple 3's and stroked them nicely, think he turns out to be a solid shooter at least maybe even more.. The fact he couldn't break down his man hurt the offense a few times and a couple passes, one travel or up and down whatever they call it made him look a bit shaky early. Also #3 had him when he manned up on him but I think he'll be fine, a combo guard for the most part but who knows with an improvement in quickness and handle he can play plenty of PG minutes in the future too.

AG amazed me with the continued ill-advised drives to the hoop with bigs drooling as he approached? C'mon AG stop please just stop! Other than that he hit 2 large 3's to give us a chance and was ok, they both were just ok overall but need them all to take better care of the ball.

If you don't think long plane rides matter check the NFL results. Players dehydrate on a three+ hour plane rides. Travel and time zone shifts are tough on athletic teams. Not the same problem on the 30 minute bus to Providence.
You have obviously never travel by bus.

The maddening thing is it's not so much the drives, it's that he has no semblance of a floater. He's capable of beating his guy off the dribble just about every time and making it look easy, but he's intent on getting to the rim and it's just not going to work for him. If he could beat his defender and make a consistent floater it'd be a completely different ballgame.

we could get another shot at them regardless of where the tourney was. just absurd we're in a conference that considers texas its geographic center. surprised areasco didnt try moving aac headquarters into a broom closet at longhorn stadium.
Terrible thing to be stuck in a conference that considers Dallas and Houston its hometown rather than say Tampa and Orlando.

He made two big shots down the stretch and finished with 6 points, he had a really bad night before that.
I counted at least three of his classic drive into the trees TO/blocked shots. One of them I think they actually opened up the lane just so he would try.

How poetic would it be to win leave the AAC with a championship game W over SMU in the Dallas Ft Worth Metropolitan Region Marriott Ballroom A?

First of all, SMU isn't making it to the championship. They haven't beaten anyone with a pulse this year. And Dickie's arena sure is a nice $540 million ballroom. If that's a ballroom, what is that dump in Hartford?

No the maddening thing is trying to dribble drive through a double team without thought to get the ball to the open man

Visit more often and you'll see that you accomplished the near impossible: provoking people into defending the XL Center.

Then again, this is more nearly part of your farewell tour here. Thanks for exposing some of this fanbase's ignorance of a legitimate champion, while somehow at the same time reducing the luster of a Heisman winner. You could been another @kobe. Then again, maybe you were destined to be like @StunningSteve

SMU beat that trash team without a pulse known as Houston tonight...

I guess one could spin it as the whole AAC is hot garbage top to bottom...
