Your guy knows a guy

It’s pretty true, never sure but he’s been spot on mostly. I won’t say who but he does have a presence around the team. He’s not my guy, his friend works for me and is a huge Husky fan as well. I will let you all know any “rumors”.

Tell your friend to relay that Toradol is a hell of a drug. 😀

I think Hurley thought we could win easily without Demery so he rested him. Think he def plays next round.

My only problem with Reed tonight wasn’t even his fault. The team kinda forgot about him down the stretch (again). Those two late possessions were up I think 9 the one right after Braylon makes his second steal not a touch down low.

We ran some terrible sets while running clock. We have to go inside out especially if Silas is out. Having Tarris at the top of the key is idiotic and then giving Malachi the ball with 4 seconds on the clock to try to create is pretty much never going to work.

I've been told that Karaban is just a guy. Good thing he showed up tonight more than just a guy.

Reed was unbelievable. How is UCLA's center? Hopefully as bad as Furman's centers.
Well, it depends on if he’s playing

I mean it’s hard to find how many plays were of impact from Reed but the key stretch was his 3 rebounds in a 1:35 possession that kind of put it away. One of them he had a lay in and didn’t know it, but how dare we even find any fault with that Beast of a man tonight.

Thank you Tarris!

Not sure what to expect from this team anymore TBH - the offense has veered so far from what we even ran last year against Florida.

Today the seniors did the work. All time center game, not only in Uconn history.

What to do with Solo Ball.............

The offense is running well and doing what it is supposed to do which is generate open looks. These shooters are not knocking them down.

The team, besides Tarris and somewhat besides Alex, is buckling under the expectations. This is all mental. Braylon is 6 for his last 42 on 3 pters and a lot of them are open and clean looks.

Wow didn’t know that. Those are crazy numbers from a solid shooter. Alex did that last year for a while too. Need him to find his stroke from here on in. He did make 2 great steals late and done nice floaters first half but we need him to make 3s as well.

They are getting good looks from 3.
It's a 20+ point win if they hit shots like they should have (given how that swings momentum).

Furman isn't good, but played well enough, and UConn couldn't buy a bucket to get the separation they needed.

How about the first one from Mullins? It missed so badly and hit the backboard so hard it went right to Reed and he put it in. I'd say something is wrong with him but he's looked pretty good inside the three point line.

It looks like he is rushing things. His feet are never set and he isn’t square to the rim when he shoots.

He had 2 that were wide open that he had all kinds of time and his feet were set and he still missed them badly. Is his confidence shaken? He looked good on the twos.

Braylon’s release is not the same as it was earlier in the season. I would need to see the two in slow-mo to pinpoint how. It looks sped up - if that’s even possible. It has me wondering if all of the “super quick release” talk from the media has gotten in his head. Or maybe he’s facing quicker closeouts? Not sure.

UCF had 25 offensive rebounds and outbounded UCLA by 12. UCLA is a guard oriented team. We'll need another monster game from Tarris and the guards to defend well.

Man I am so glad we played in the Big East tournament. It gavevSmith a chance to play as the lead guard in the NCAA tournament.

No question I agree. My point was the coaching staff can only do so much and I was responding to the prior post saying the offensive design and plays are not working. They can't knock down the shots for the players.

The offense was running fine, you can't ask for better looks for Solo and Braylon, they're crippling the offense by missing so many wide open 3s. People keep posting that they can't play together, it would work out fine if they could just shoot like actual basketball players on wide open 3s.

The saying in March continues to be...survive and advance. Kept the turnovers under 12 which I think is the magic number. Gonna have to be better from 3 to expect to advance from this point on.
