by Colorado's Booker.

And Kansas goes down at the buzzer.

Granted, Shabazz's shot came when UConn was losing, whereas Booker's shot was in a tie game.

But Booker shot his awkwardly off one foot from way beyond the NBA 3 point line.

first time I've ever seen a Euro step 3 pointer, live I thought he traveled but on replay doesn't look like one.

In the overall scheme of things, this shot is extremely important, because Colorado had lost to Kansas about a gazillion consecutive times. Colorado was the equivalent of BU in the Big East, and Kansas was its Connecticut.

But in the Boneyard scheme of things, this shot is of virtually no importance, as it did not result in a Husky victory. Hell, it won't even affect our RPI.

Only looked like 2 steps to me
Me too after i saw the replay a couple of times. In real time it looked like a definite travel to me.

Longer strides do not make a travel... Maybe it looks awkward, but it definitely does not make a travel. It was all clean & replays showed it. Glad to see the refs did not blow it, because often this year, they have blown it (see Bazz's carry 2 games ago). Great play by Booker. Player of the week candidate... after Bazz's, of course! ;)

It does affect us in one way: it makes Harvard's loss at Colorado look a lot better, so they could jump back in front of us in Jeff Goodman's Best of New England poll.

BU took Harvard to OT today. I wonder where he ranks BU now...

I though the rule was 1 and 1/2?

In other words, it would have been legal for Tom Dempsey (whose record finally was broken today after 50 years - but at altitude).

I though the rule was 1 and 1/2?

What is half a step?

The rule is you can lift your pivot foot. It isn't a travel until the pivot foot comes back down with the ball still in possession. Hence the "up and down" rule.

I know it looked like it but no one argued.......weird you get 2 steps for a lay up but since when do you get 2 for a jump shot or a throw?
