Colorado is threatening to become a Quad 2 loss, so this is a solid replacement
He thinks he's smarter than the entire fanbase and basketball community as a whole. You know what they say happens when you stop learning and trying to improve? He may still think he's the ultimate mind, but maybe stop saying it out loud? Games like this and others this season make him look foolish.Liam singlehandedly won the last game. Instead of all the limelight being on Liam coach decided to get into it with the few remaining Creighton fans.
I don't mind being cocky but he's taking it to horses arse levels and he doesn't have the team to back it up. He had a confident swagger last season because he had a bunch of NBA players and uniquely savvy kids who could blow everyone out. Now his mouth is writing checks...
Have a damn inbounds play, have a damn play to throw it into your big for a bucket when the other team doesn't have any bigs. Play your most talented big.
I love the guy but he needs to be humbled. We're seeing someone who is too arrogant and too stubborn right now.
This is hilarious. We lost 4 starters and moved the guy who was 5th in our depth chart to first. We relied on two career bench guys to man our pg and center position. The pg can’t shoot and the center can’t rebound. We were overly reliant on a freshman and a bunch of sophomores who didn’t play the year before. All while having the target of b2b national champs on our back. The writing was always on the wall. This was a rebuild year. It’s clear now.
Hurley gets a pass this season. He’s more than earned that. But we need to construct a better more cohesive roster next season.
Well I think that there was the assumption we could execute one of the basics of basketball which was get it inboundsWhen Ball missed his second free-throw with 18 seconds to go, why did we let Wusu score on a simple layup taking only six seconds off the clock? Literally unimpeded.
I understand don’t do stupid fouls, but that doesn’t mean don’t play any defense whatsoever.
A layup is way easier than two free throws, especially with a guy who shoots 65% from the line.
None of that explains how we lost to a team that has lost 10 straight and just got blown out by Butler by 30 on their home floor. This is a historically bad SHU team.We lost 4 starters and moved the guy who was 5th in our depth chart to first. We relied on two career bench guys to man our pg and center position. The pg can’t shoot and the center can’t rebound. We were overly reliant on a freshman and a bunch of sophomores who didn’t play the year before. The team tried to win while walking in their sleep through most of the first half.Embarrassing. Horrible. Travesty. Shameful.
Perfect description of the Big East and the officiating crew.
UConn did not play well, but they win walking in their sleep if the game was properly officiated.
Said it earlier we play to our opponents we never make them play to us.This was the biggest issue, IMO. The game was played at their style and pace. We did nothing to try to change that.
Well as of now he hasn’t missed the tournament. 17-8 and a top 5 finish in conference isn’t terrible after back to back championships. I’ll take that everytime. To the recruiting angle, Hurley doesn’t really recruit that way. He’s shown to lean heavily on the side of staying loyal to his guys. He did it when he first got here as well. Maybe he should change that approach. We’ll see.Why is that? Shouldn't teams bring in any recruits they want after two titles? Or did he fail in player evaluations? Maybe not win another title, but a Sweet 16 doesn't seem like too much to ask. Missing the tournament is a horrible job by the coach.
I know this is a dumb question, but why don’t they inbound quickly instead of throwing the ball to the ref to give the other team time to set up?This team can’t inbound the ball to save their lives. It’s so baffling.
Guess the coaches don’t believe they can play defense for 14 seconds without allowing a made 3. Fouling with 9 seconds to prevent a three doesn’t make sense. Too much time afterwards for something to go wrong.McNeeley got fouled on the drive & Ball got fouled on the last play, with that said, Hurley had a terrible game- got outcoached verse Pitino & now this- why foul with 9 seconds when you know your having major trouble getting the ball in bounds & Seton Hall is a terrible shooting team.
People love to come and chastise any criticism of the refs. The loss can be embarrassing and unacceptable AND the refs can be garbage at the same time.
The game was "stolen" because we have NO out-of-bounds play. High school stuff.Ball literally got tackled with 6 seconds left. Not sure what else you want in that spot. That game was stolen despite how awful we played. UConn needs out of this conference yesterday.
I could not agree more. You have to start playing Nowell over AM. It's crystal clear he is not a Big East level guard. And Ross....I don't know what to say. He is not any good. Give Abraham those minutes. It can't be worse.Keep nailing the freshmen to the bench.
That’s totally going to end well for us.
I think we should see if they know how to dribble a basketball - they cannot be any worse at than the group we’re currently trusting to do so.
Why Abraham hasn't gotten run is beyond me.Keep nailing the freshmen to the bench.
That’s totally going to end well for us.

Wasn't that in the NCAA Tournament? How is an NCAA Tournament game loss worse than blowing 7 and 5 pt. leads in regulation and OT to a 6-18 injury riddled Seton Hall team that's lost 9 or 10 and just lost their last game at home to DePaul by 25?After New Mexico
It’s actually why Ross should be in and clutch and grab a guy to set a tone it’s not like hes gonna get many minutes. The team tried to win while walking in their sleep through most of the first half.
The officiating was garbage but the way we played a lot of the game today was infuriating. We need to understand that we cannot let the opponent dictate the pace of play or style of play. We've let this happen far too many times this season.
