Ball was pushed by 1st defender into #7- watch again, the first defender shoves him with both hands and knocked Solo off balance.
Yep. Just saw it. Thanks.

Lol, we don’t want to develop players here? Man wtf are you talking about. This is UConn. The bluest of blue bloods. That doesn’t bode well here. Hurley can’t be more blatant. He was even quoted recently that this time of year, you play who can help you win. Look at today’s box score. Mahaney and Ross had 4 minutes, Reed had 9, Stewart 18(because Diarra was hobbled). That says all you need to know what he thinks of our bench.
This is an elite staff who made some mistakes this year. With their success, we can live with that. There is no doubt in my mind they will make the necessary adjustments this offseason. But again, if you aren’t playing now, with this team, there is a reason why. If you are looking to develop on the court, drop down a level.
The back defender did have his hands on him.Apologies if you’re being sarcastic but if not… wtf are you talking about? We played horribly. Should have never been in the refs’ hands there, but #7 just tackles Solo. It was 1000% a foul.
Namely because it ended the seasonWasn't that in the NCAA Tournament? How is an NCAA Tournament game loss worse than blowing 7 and 5 pt. leads in regulation and OT to a 6-18 injury riddled Seton Hall team that's lost 9 or 10 and just lost their last game at home to DePaul by 25?
That was a freshman mistake out of a junior. Complete brain fart. We had more than our fair share of those brain-dead moments from everyone. Solo fouling a 3-point shooter is another example. Why is Reed sticking his hands in on a player outside the 3 point line? Johnson does this too at times. I don’t understand that.
Did you type this under duress? Now I'm completely lost.
You responded to a tweet by a player (Alex Karaban) where he stated the players need to take these games more seriously by claiming ?Hurley needs to take that on himself and taske pressure off Karaban.
I askes you to elaborate on that, and pointed out that a hall of fame coach with considerably more experience in life and ib coaching college basketball at the highest level at the time wasn't able to get a team to put in the effort needed (implying that maybe it isn't always the coach).
Your response is that he coached a horrible game. Evidently you berlieve that the level of effort the entire team puts into each game is duer to Hurley's coaching that day (and perhaps how many minutes he gives Reed).
You're beginning to copy another poster's MO.Did you type this under duress?
And got a shooter’s bounce on the first one that would have made Steph Curry blush lolThat was a freshman mistake out of a junior. Complete brain fart. We had more than our fair share of those brain-dead moments from everyone. Solo fouling a 3-point shooter is another example.
We almost made out well, given the dude is a 25% FT shooter. And then he hits two, lol.
Who? Your post was illegible. You're beginning to copy another poster's MO.
It looks like Solo fumbles forward into the defender - which to me is NOT a foul on that defender. But if you look more closely the other defender does have his hands on Solos back, to what extend he pushed is hard to determine. It should be a foul for just having both hands on him.#7 did not tackle Solo. Solo ran into #7 and then fell.
I'm sorry, but that's not a cut and dried foul. It looked like Ball lost control (which he did).
We may want to develop players but to be honest, we didn’t develop anyone last year ( unless you consider Ball who is definitely improved but still has a lot of holes in his game) and no one else either last year or this year.Lol, we don’t want to develop players here? Man wtf are you talking about.
You’re right, other than practice Nowell and Abraham are starting from scratch next season. Since we can’t rely on Mahaney all we have is Reed as a senior? We may want to develop players but to be honest, we didn’t develop anyone last year ( unless you consider Ball who is definitely improved but still has a lot of holes in his game) and no one else either last year or this year.
I for one don’t have any confidence in Stewart or Ross for next season and we have no idea what Nowell or Abraham can bring to the table.
Actually with all due respect, this game should not be forgotten, not this season.I refuse to acknowledge that this game occurred. I have expunged it from existence. Best if we all do the same.
Not the refs, Not the refs, Not the refs. Stop the "It's not my fault" mantra.Stop it. 13.5 point favorites, shouldn’t even be in this position. Keep blaming the refs.
You’re right we didn’t develop anyone last year seriously. The only thing we tried to get Ball and Stewart to do were shoot 3s and play defense. Didn’t look to develop any other skills and then become surprised that’s all that they can look to do consistently this year.We may want to develop players but to be honest, we didn’t develop anyone last year ( unless you consider Ball who is definitely improved but still has a lot of holes in his game) and no one else either last year or this year.

He got tackled…. It was a horrendous no-call but again, should never have been remotely in that position so I can’t get too worked up about it.The back defender did have his hands on him.
Solo could have just stood there and it would have been a better outcome.

No kidding. Do we have anybody who understands probability? Duh.When Ball missed his second free-throw with 18 seconds to go, why did we let Wusu score on a simple layup taking only six seconds off the clock? Literally unimpeded.
I understand don’t do stupid fouls, but that doesn’t mean don’t play any defense whatsoever.
A layup is way easier than two free throws, especially with a guy who shoots 65% from the line.
Yrs we are….,and it is being tossed into his face in a BIG TIME wayLiam singlehandedly won the last game. Instead of all the limelight being on Liam coach decided to get into it with the few remaining Creighton fans.
I don't mind being cocky but he's taking it to horses arse levels and he doesn't have the team to back it up. He had a confident swagger last season because he had a bunch of NBA players and uniquely savvy kids who could blow everyone out. Now his mouth is writing checks...
Have a damn inbounds play, have a damn play to throw it into your big for a bucket when the other team doesn't have any bigs. Play your most talented big.
I love the guy but he needs to be humbled. We're seeing someone who is too arrogant and too stubborn right now.
L O LWe lost 4 starters and moved the guy who was 5th in our depth chart to first. We relied on two career bench guys to man our pg and center position. The pg can’t shoot and the center can’t rebound. We were overly reliant on a freshman and a bunch of sophomores who didn’t play the year before. All while having the target of b2b national champs on our back. The writing was always on the wall. This was a rebuild year. It’s clear now.
Hurley gets a pass this season. He’s more than earned that. But we need to construct a better more cohesive roster next season.
Not loyal…,,STUBBORNHurley is loyal to a fault. He always gives the guys with seniority a longer leash. It works when those guys are Hawkins, Adama, Newton, Clingan, and Ajax. It doesn’t work when those guys are Samson Johnson, gaffney, Polley, etc.
I promise if we quit on our guys and hit the portal next year it’ll look more like 2022 than 23 or 24.Not loyal…,,STUBBORN
big difference
I hope Nowell and Abraham bolt. They have every right toAnd it sets us up for an interesting offseason. Hurley has deemed several players unplayable for this whole season and we have one kid who he misjudged as a player and it's all too much for him.

What did AntG say that you disagree with? I mean, he laid it all out pretty accurately.L O L
You mean maybe we don’t have the best effen coach in the country??? Im sure that is news to him.Meh.
The sophomores aren’t very good - like, really, not very good. We have one spot up shooter in the bunch and none of them can do anything else.
If they’re keeping these freshmen on the bench, we need to question why we’re recruiting a half dozen players who can’t play.
